I’ve been using this knife set for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly really impressed. The blades are super sharp right out of the box and have stayed that way with regular use. You can tell they’re made from good-quality steel—they feel solid, not flimsy and do not rust. The set comes with pretty much every knife you’d need in the kitchen, plus a sharpening rod and kitchen shears, which was a nice bonus. The wooden block also looks great on the counter and keeps everything organized. I really like the handles too. They have a comfortable, ergonomic grip, so even after chopping a lot of veggies, my hand doesn’t feel tired. Every knife I’ve used so far cuts really cleanly and smoothly. It's nice looking and the blades are sharp! That said, I did have my doubts about these being $100 originally but was thrilled to find them at $26.99!!!! After receiving them, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. They are well made, cut well, have all the knives you'll need. The only drawback is the scissors are not good at all. They do not cut well and the joint sticks while using them. They're a little lighter than I thought but that's more of a plus than a negative. Didn't expect great knives at this price....however, they aren't even remotely sharp. I literally ran my finger back and forth over the blade. This was ironic as they came with plastic tip protection, as if you were in danger of cutting yourself, let alone any veggies with it. They are form over function. Cute Barbie knives. The handles are cheaper plastic construction. The ONLY think I like was the actual holder design. The dull knives slid into the wavy slots nicely. If you want a very basic knife set AND have your own sharpener, they might not bad a bad deal. But maybe they should have included a sharpener, in all honesty. ... show more
