I've had it for a few months now. Used it 3 times. Works fine. it easily trims hair (unlike some of these dopey reviews say), and didn't cause any skin irritation at all. The reviews that say this trimmer cut their skin are full of it. I just don't see how that could be the case unless the user is a total knucklehead and completely uncoordinated. I didn't have to apply excessive pressure or trim multiple times. I think most of the negative reviews about this item are bogus. i will admit that it doesn't feel particularly sturdy. it has a "cheap" feel to it, but the price is in line with the quality and it gets the job done better than i expected it would. i'm a happy customer that finally found an easy and effective way to rid myself of this back hair. ... show more

    • The Best Back Shaver Ever!!
This is my third Mangroomer shaver to date and I really enjoy using it to shave the hair on my back. I shave everything from my neck down, but just having nice, smooth, sexy, hairless skin all over except my back just wasn't an option for me. I started out with the original Mangroomer, then upgraded to the Mangroomer Lithium Max. The Max was damaged in transport (I didn't pack it properly in my suitcase and the head assembly broke) so I upgraded again to the Platinum Pro. I love the fact that this one has 3 heads (I love the extra wide and the foil body groomer heads in particular). I'm also glad that a storage bag for the shaver and its accessories is provided in the Platinum Pro set. Battery life is excellent and it doesn't take incredibly long to charge either. The extension arm works well, and the motor even seems quieter! The Mangroomer Platinum Pro is the best back shaver ever, and I highly recommend it to all of the manscapers out there! ... show more

I have had back hair ever since my voice dropped. I've always hated it. Always been self-conscious about it. And never had the tools to do something about it. That anxiety started, oh, about 23 years ago now. Today, for the first time in my whole life, I shaved my own back. I didn't cut myself. It didn't hurt. I did it comfortably from the privacy of my own bathroom. So, if you're a man-ape like me: YES. It works exactly as described. You can get every single hair off of your back and it looks great. But the con: the plastic is obviously very thin and brittle. This is not the sturdy blast-proof plastic on Wahl trimmers or something. I feel like, perhaps, a few dollar store knockoff GI Joes I had as a kid were made of better stuff. The "platinum" is definitely not in the polymer they chose for the device... Anyways, look: you're probably looking at this because your back is a fuzzball and you're tired of looking at it, or asking the SO in your life, or getting flayed alive at the waxer. Yes. This works. Buy it. Maybe don't expect it to last forever. Or do, whatever. I'm not your mother. ... show more

I am a real person and this is a real review. This thing is complete junk and a waste of money. I’ve used it around 20x and it’s pulled my hair out on every use. Like to where it doesn’t even try to cut the hair. So much that it’s unusable due to the pain it causes. My wife just uses my hair clippers now. I’ve tried different speeds, oil on the blades, and cleaning it. While trying to clean it yet again tonight, the little clips that retain the blade in, broke. I had an older model years ago and it never pulled. Whatever changes that were made to it lost y’all a customer for life. I’d rather lay down on the 100* concrete outside and scratch my hair off. ... show more

    • Best shaving product for hairy people
I don't usually write reviews for products unless they're exceptionally good or extremely bad. As it is the former with this product. I am a VERY hairy guy and I have been buying dozens of hair grooming and hair removal products for the thick black hair on my body. I was primarily looking for a body razor instead of a back razor but I decided to try this out as it also works for the rest of your body. The instructions were clear on a little card that was sent but there was a HUGE instruction manual that came with it. I didn't think it was that difficult to use so I decided to figure out how to use it myself. The blade that came attached on the razor was ok for removing my thick hair at first. After having some trouble getting certain thick hair off, I was able to get it off with a slow back and forth shaving motion. I'm a guy who likes to shave my entire body and make sure no hair stands out. So essentially, I needed a clean shave and the card that came with it said to use the foil head razor to get the shorter hairs out. I was SHOCKED at how easy it was to get the remaining hair off once I shifted to the foil head. I have never used a foil head before so that was part of the excitement as I saw how efficient it was at removing short tiny hairs to make my skin look completely hair-free and smooth. The battery life on the product was even more incredible. I was able to do a near full-body shave with this product right out of the package. I can't even explain to you how long that is as I haven't shaved my body in over 6 months and again, I'm a VERY HAIRY guy. I think this is honestly one of the best products I've ever bought from Amazon. The price is definitely worth the experience that I had using this product. In fact, I think this item is a STEAL for the price it's displayed for. 3 razor blades, a backshaver, incredible battery life, and an extended arm hinge for $50?
