I purchased this 14-piece knife set because of its versatility. It meets my everyday cooking needs and is also suitable for occasional entertaining. The knives are incredibly sharp right out of the box and feel very sturdy in the hand. Each knife has a clear purpose, and the set includes all the sizes I commonly use, so I no longer have to rummage through drawers to find the right knife. The high-carbon stainless steel material offers both excellent edge retention and ease of sharpening, and the built-in sharpener in the knife block saves me the trouble of having to get out separate sharpening tools.The handles are comfortable to grip, so you won't experience hand fatigue even during prolonged food preparation. Each knife shape feels clearly “for a job” and is easy to grab. I’ve been using the main knife for chicken and veggies, and it cuts clean. The small knife is good for quick kid snacks like apple slices, and the bread knife has been handy for bagels and sandwich rolls. Everything feels sharp right out of the block, and it stays smooth during normal home cooking. The handles are light and comfortable, and I like that they don’t slip. Cleanup is simple, too.
