Picked up a pair of these a couple weeks ago and one of them failed a few days after install. I use 4 of these in my automated home network and when they work, they work great. Easy to set up and seamless integration with Alexa. Not sure why one of them quit, but I received a replacement in a couple days and I am back up and running again. OMG This is SOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER than the other KMC Smart Taps (bigger with and added post)! These connected with Tuya almost instantly! I didn’t even need to search, Tuya did its own scan and picked it up! AND they were half the price! (Might even get more while I can.) (Already returned the B07SWZ2N4J because one refused to connect.) Will enjoy being able to now have multiple (up to 3) controlled outlets, PLUS an always-on pass thru outlet when I need one! And I can re-use existing single-tap plugs for other devices. I just hope these last a while, but the touch-and-feel quality already seems much better. ... show more

I had no issue connecting this to the app that I use for all of my smart devices. I did not use or even look at the app by the company. It worked right away. The schedules have run perfectly on time. My only issue is that the included screw was way too short for me to install this over a wall plate. In fact, it was barely long enough to install this without the plate. It doesn't feel sturdy, and the socket hole in the wall shows above it. Other people don't seem to be having this issue, and I don't know why my experience would be any different, as the wall plate is as standard as it gets, but here we are. I don't have the energy to go find a screw that fits better, seems like a hassle to me, a person who knows nothing about screws & their sizes, but it's not safe to leave as-is, so I'll have to suck it up. That's my only complaint and reason for dropping a star. ... show more
