I bought these shears a year ago and they have been absolutely wonderful. I had tried other brands that just did not hold up or cut straight and I've had a lot of success with these. However, I recently went to change the blade and quickly discovered that it was impossible to do so. The shears come with extra blades so I thought that this was a fluke. After removing the screw and separating the handles, there is a hollow ring and a square pin (pictured) that both need to be removed in order to change the blade. These would not come out for anything! I assumed this was a manufacturing issue and contacted the company who was absolutely wonderful. They responded to my messages within 24 hours and once they realized that I was doing exactly what they were telling me to do, they went ahead and sent me a new set of shears at no cost. Within a week of discovering the issue, I had a replacement set in hand. Amazing customer service! Unfortunately, when I detach the handle from the new shears to ensure that I could replace the blade, the square pin fell out without a problem, but that stupid hollow ring will still not come out and release the blade. The new set arrived oiled, but I tried a few others of my own just to be sure and even tried a couple hand tools in an attempt to push it through but it will not budge. Not a deal breaker for me because the shears are really sturdy and the blades are heavy enough that I can sharpen the one installed. However, it is a glaring flaw in the manufacturing process. If you search online, you'll find that this is a common problem with this brand. If you use them all the time and you need to be able to pop the blades in and out then you are going to want to look elsewhere. But they work for me for now. ... show more

I had a craft project, it called for this tool to cut pencils.Yes, pencils to fit with a note holder. It worked so very nicely.

I used this to cut 1/2" polystyrene quarter round. It did a lot of crushing instead of cutting where I had to clean up the ends. It worked good enough to get the job done.

These were great, overall. They made my trim work very easy and smooth. My only complaint is that trying to cut through 3/4” quarter-round trim (pine) was not easy. Sometimes it would cut fairly easy, other times I would have to remove the shears and start sawing a pilot cut for them.

Wow1 I had some dollhouse molding, I thought this thing will smash it. The molding is small and delicate with an uneven profile. It cut it!! Cleanly on splinters no smashed down areas. Tongue depressors need a bit of pressure but it cuts. Where have you been all my life?
