  • Clarity, Quality, Affordability!
Picked these up after returning more expensive lower quality bookshelf speakers to a big box store. These were better quality and much better price. I listen to a very wide variety of musical genres. I’m no audiophile so I don’t have fancy ways of describing speakers, I can just tell you they sound really good and clear at all volume levels. If you’re a bass-head and like to feel that thump, add a sub-woofer. Otherwise, these last-gen Klipsch will be a great way to listen to your fave music. I’m using an Eversolo Play which needs high sensitivity speakers and these are perfect. Enjoy. ... show more

  • Solid performing stereo speakers at a reasonable price.
I had my old speaker for almost 40 years and they finally wore out. These Klipsch speakers were a pretty close match in size any are pretty affordable. These speakers are a bit large for “bookshelf” but they should be on stands so they can be positioned in the room where they sound best. There is a port on the back and quite a bit of difference in the bass registers results from how close the speakers are to walls or hard objects. The included manual has basic tips for positioning. The front grilles are held on with magnets snd can be easily removed if desired. The grilles do not seem to affect the sound much, so either on or off is OK. The speakers arrived well protected with plastic wrap and styrofoam in a sturdy box. Setup is easy. I just had dropped attach the speakers to my existing amplifier. The binding posts on the speakers do not have banana jacks. The thumb screws tighten directly over the incoming wires. Jumpes may be removed to allow woofers and tweeters to be attached to separate amplifiers but that probably isn’t worth doing on compact speakers such as these. Sound quality is pretty good. There seems to be a little emphasis towards the bass end of then sound spectrum. I like to add about 2 dB of emphasis above 2.5 KHz on my preamp to get the sound I like. Changing room position might help, but I am limited for space where I can put the speakers. Over all, I would say the speakers are pretty neutral snd should be good for listening to most types of program material. The sensitivity of the speakers is good and they can be turned up to louder thsn needed with a small amplifier. I have them attached to an older Adcom GFA-555 which puts out more than 100 Watts/channel. It might be a good idea to use an in-line fuse holder with a 3.5 amp fast blow fuse in series with the speaker to help prevent damage to the tweeter in case the amp overloads, for example an input comes loose and picks up loud AC hum. Over all these are pretty solid performing well made speakers and a good value for the money. The speakers should last a long time as long as they are protected from overloads with would subject them to over 100 Watts. There is a newer generation of this model, but it costs more. This model still satisfactory. ... show more

  • Threre great speakers and worth the money
There great speakers and once they break in they will sound perfect. The bass is wonderful and the vocals. I bought the girl friend a Sony str-dh190 that I started to hate. The speakers sounded hi end well they should be. Im not a tweater guy they dont last for me. Im a midrange pa 103 db of sensitivity in a 4 ohm speaker. Kind of guy. So afther running thease speakers afther 15 hours it took days. The problem the sony i could make a grill cheese sandwich on it. I had the audio down on it next to nothing. So the sony the amp section was burning up. I could crank it up a little for two songs then off the receiver went. I like midrange speakers pa 6.5 like the woofers in thease you can get a lot of bass out of them with a amplifier in the reciever. When I first cranked them I said my pa midranges would blow thease speakers out the room. I changed my mind when you got a reciever on 4 ohms you got double the power. My 6.5 midrange use to bounce the floor in on bass and the treble you can get right out of a midrange you got a real reciever you turn the treble up to a + 4 and there's your tweater. So my point thease speakers have hi fidelity and bass with the volume down there wonderful. The pa speakers wanted high volume to wake up the dance floor. So I waiting on fans for the sony but the bass on thease klipsch speakers should bounce the walls if the sony would stay cool. Buy thease speakers I dont even have my hi fi quad dac on my LG v30 music phone im going through blue tooth. I took the 3.5 mm jack out and they still sound good. Threr professional ported built speakers. ... show more

  • Get these while they last!
6 out of 5 stars. This is an extremely well-balanced speaker with great dynamic range. Do not be put off by the 6” driver. I don’t know how they got so much bass from a small package! The high-range horn is also extremely clear without overpowering the bass. Audio magic, I guess. I’ve tested them with rock, pop, acoustic, and classical music. I am very happy. Copeland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man”, ELO’s “10538 Overture”, and CSN’s “Judy Blue Eyes” all sound jaw dropping. All of the RP line prices have been slashed because the Mk. II line has been recently released. It’s a great deal! 🎶 🙂 ... show more

  • Good base, very good mids and treble. High sensitivity. Good overall sound.
Very tight sound, no boominess. Bass is reasonably good, but I have a powered subwoofer to take care of the bottom end. The midrange/tweeter has a little dip at about 2K, but otherwise sounds crystal clear. Good for listening to voice when watching movies, and the highs come through well when playing orchestral music. Seems like a sensitive speaker. You do not need to turn the amp up too much to get a very loud output level. Well finished, and does not take up too much space. ... show more
