I have an ergobaby carrier I bought from target for my first-born 5 yrs ago. I really wanted to use it for my 2 mo old but I thought I’d have to wait for him to be big enough for it. Then I saw this product on amazon and let’s just say I LOVE it. My little guy is 12lbs, 23in and he absolutely loves it. It’s so easy to use too. I do wish it had a tiny little bit more head support cause I do have to pull it up behind him every now and then when I’m walking but it’s not that much of a problem to take away from getting 5 stars. I live in Palm Desert where it has already reached 107F. I wear it to Go on morning walks and it’s so easy to put baby in that I wear it every day to walk to my community mailbox. he doesn’t get fussy because he’s sweating. No sweating so far. This insert is great for my newborn that loves to be held close to me. I didn’t have an insert for my carrier for my first two kids because they were fine without it. I’m glad I bought it for this kid however because he likes to be held and I’m much more busy with two other kids so I need my hands free. It has come in handy so many times in his first 5 weeks of life so far. I use it to carry him in the house when he’s tired but doesn’t want to sleep in his bed, but he will sleep in the carrier. One thing that I agree with another user is how the description says cotton but the insert is actually polyester. Colton and polyester are too different things completely so they should change the description. ... show more

    • One of those things I didn't think I needed, but now love
I tried the "blanket hack." I was ok with that, figuring kiddo would outgrow the insert quickly and it wouldn't be worth the money. But hubby wanted to buy this, so we did... And it is worth the money!!! The little pillow is thicker and softer than a blanket, and holds its shape. (If you use a blanket, you have to keep refolding and repositioning it.) The insert provides support to back of legs, and back of head, so that it cradles kiddo and it just seems more comfortable. It does make the ergo bulkier and warmer, but it just feels better for both kiddo and the person wearing baby. Easy to clean - throw it in washer and dryer. It's held up well. Don't be like me and use the blanket hack to try to save money. This is worth it. You won't regret buying it. ... show more

The “mesh” isn’t as thin as I would have liked it to be, and when the legs stick out doesn’t have a good space (like leg holes) for the legs to pass through. I just took the little pillow and used that alone for my 11lb 5w old son. It would have been just the same as if I were to continue using his muslin blanket rolled up and stuck under his bum. This would probably be a good insert for aNB who has zero head control and is really small. But my son doesn’t need the head support or the extra padding. He just needed a little boost so his head was higher up. My son is 22”, 11lb, 5w old. If yours is About the same size and has some strength in his neck. You could probably make Due just fine with a rolled up blanket. ... show more

I love how easy it was to attach and remove from our carrier. My daughter loved being in it at 6weeks and it help support her head and neck. She didn’t overheat or anything, which I was worried about. Washes well!
