Ok..first off, I did return them, but not for the reasons you'd think. These are most definitely a step up from the last model...the crossovers are simply better, and somehow, the sweetspot widened. That's most likely all you need to know. I often ask myself...where is the money going? And in this case, it's going into a more pure and spacious sound. Yes, worth the investment. Why I bought? My intention was to actually use them as a 2.1 front only. Ironically when set up in front of me, I was losing sound...but when off axes by 3 or 4 ft...it was great. But I sit center, not to the side. I thought having duel firing speakers on both right and left might work. I was wrong. (Not too far off ...but wrong) But used as rears??? ABSOLUTELY...and when the time comes, I will not hesitate to buy again. Hope it helps. ... show more

"Engineer" who designed this terminal apparently didn't account for reduced effective diameter from the cut threads. Was basically held together by a pair of slivers of material. Snapped right off plugging in a banana plug. Contacted Klipsch and a new input cup was on its way within a few hours. I preferred this solution, as there is nothing wrong with the speaker otherwise and it's easy to swap out, and no need to ship a heavy speaker back. ... show more

The sound quality is nothing less than Klipsch excellence! These replaced 4 Klipsch 75 watt Atmos/surround speakers. The stronger wattage these have (100ea) make all the difference. The build is very well done and heavy, so the magnets inside must be significant. Well worth the money!! Also delivered in excellent condition. The box wasn’t even damaged. You won’t be sorry.
