  • They bring the wow factor
Color: American Walnut
Best speakers I have ever heard and Ive heard alot since I have been listening to metal and punk since the 80s… these things are really separating out the instruments especially when there’s like 250+ beat per minute double bass going on, if you’ve got the money as all, the other reviewers, said u won’t be disappointed ... show more

  • No Hype Here
Color: Natural Cherry
I've owned a set of Klipsch RP-280F tower speakers for approximately 5+ years and have loved them from day one. They have a bright but balanced sound that easily fills the room (18.5x14.5) they are in. I've always felt they were a good fit for me, but also felt they didn't quite live up to a set of Klipsch speakers I had in the 1990's that had a rear passive radiator. Well a few days ago I received a new set of Klipsch Heresy IV's (Natural Cherry) and right out of the box I again heard that wonderful special balance of sound I haven't heard since 1994 and I knew I had made the right choice, These speakers are of course no where near burned in but right out of the box they sound better than anything I've heard in 20 years. They have a special sound that evokes the feeling being at a concert or sitting in a club somewhere in New York city. They are so clear and open I am hearing things in CD's I haven't heard in decades, I am using an HK-3490 100 watt receiver/amp I've had for 5+ years, not some Class A high voltage amp for $6k, just a $450 normal amp and they shine. I could go on and on, but until you've heard them it's just words. I'd also like to add that the workmanship is like fine furniture, the serial numbers for each speaker are number matched so the grain is perfectly matched. I've paired these speakers with a single Klipsch 12 inch sub and they sound great. So if your thinking about pulling the trigger on these I hope this review pushes you over the line, you won't regret it. ... show more

  • Great sound
Color: Distressed Oak
I did some research on the Klipsche Heritage Series Heresy IV speakers before I purchased them, so I had some pretty solid expectations of them, when they arrived. These speakers are VERY EFFICIENT in producing sound. I don't even come close to pushing my amp when playing music through the Heresy IV's. I'm using a Pioner 1280 monster amp for these speakers. For the sound, they reveal everything in high clarity. They even pick up the sound of the room the instrument were recorded in. It's hard to explain that, but when listening to Stevie Nicks Bella Donna CD remastered, the drum sound was AMAZING, and all instruments and Stevies singing sounded like they were in my room. I'll even add; listening to the Led Zeppelin Box set 1990 issue, it was like Jimmy's Marshall Amp was rich there, and Robert Plant was placed right in the middle. I tend to listen to classic rock, but Jazz and accoustic arrangements are fantastic. So overall frequency response; I'm still working on key position for these speakers in my room, but they are very good in high frequency and mid-range. The bass is on point, but if you are looking for a bass heavy sound, these may not be what you are looking for. I would say, if you have a critical ear for music though, these speakers will keep you very satisfied. ... show more

  • magnificent
Color: Distressed Oak
I was forced to upgrade my stereo system after my 35+ yo Dynakit ST-70 decided to play its last tune. I had been using a pair of KEF LS50's which I thought sounded pretty good with the ST-70. I upgraded to a pair of Audio Note mono blocks and an Audio Note DAC. These sounded great through the KEF's but I thought I should apply Amdahl's Law and upgrade the speakers too. After 6+ months of research, I finally decided on the Klipsch Heresy speakers. The Dynalkit to Audio Note was a minor upgrade compared to the KEF to Klipsch upgrade. The Klipsch offers orders of magnitude more detail and presence to the music - as though the musicians are playing in front of you. The difference between the two sets of speakers was quite profound. The Klipsch speakers offers an immersive stereo experience. ... show more

  • Best speakers I've ever owned.
Color: Natural Cherry
Dispersion is fantastic. Stereo image in a 15 foot radius. Fantastic high end. Low end much improved with port. Can run on 20 watts or 200. Paul Klipsch genius.
