Really nice little thing honestly. It’s my 2nd one. The other One I had broke. It was a different brand that I cannot remember, but it was a pretty standard $25 one. This thing is quiet, effective, sturdy, and light. The lights in the fan are pretty dim, so it’s not particularly annoying that you can’t put them off. My laptop is also very heavy, and this holds it nice and stable. I have a 2020 dell g5. If anyone has one, they know how horrible the bios settings are and how it overheats almost instantly when playing game. Dell does not allow access to fan speeds, or overclocking, unless you mess with things quite a lot. Anyway, been playing dying light. No overheats. It’s worth it’s price for sure. ... show more

    • Works well, worth the price!
Before buying this cooling pad, I opted to try a cheaper one. The cheaper one did absolutely nothing in terms of cooling and seemed poorly built on top of that. Then I got a recommendation from a friend to try Klim. I bought this product, and it took a very short amount of time to discover how wonderful it was. It cools down my gaming laptop easily (and keeps it cool), its LEDs are nice ambience without being overpowering, and it's clear that a lot of thought went into the design. I've been using it for multiple weeks now and it's continued to deliver. The fans are a bit loud, but I generally use headphones while gaming anyway, which entirely muffles the sound.     • Review for both 15.6" and 17" laptops
I tested the cooling pad on two laptops: 15.6" Dell XPS 15 and 17" Alienware M17 15.6" -The size of the pad is ideal and the front stopper prevents the laptop from sliding forward but the rubber lining under this laptop definitely helped anchor the laptop to the pad. -The lighting is not too bright (which, to me, is positive). -The noise level is low when the 3 fans at the back are on but gets a bit too loud when I turn on the other two front fans. -The XPS 15 would throttle during long sessions of gaming but since using the pad, the throttling has stopped. I did not measure the temperatures before or after the pad was used but the keyboard definitely feels cooler and I only used the 3 fans at the back. I think the pad does an excellent job of cooling this laptop with only 3 out of the 5 fans turned on so I did not have to sacrifice low noise levels. 17" -The size is not perfect but sufficient and, to be honest, I don't want a cooling pad taking up too much desk space. So, although the 17" laptop is slightly wider than the pad, I don't see any issue. However, the biggest flaw of this pad is exposed when using a laptop without a rubber lining at the bottom. The laptop slides a bit from left to right and this laptop is pretty heavy so I'm thinking that a smaller and lighter laptop would slide even more. This maybe could have been prevented if there were some rubber anchor points on the surface between the fans. -Using only the 3 fans at the back to cool this laptop has been somewhat successful. The ventilation area near the keyboard is still very hot but the bottom and back of the laptop is a bit cooler. I think the pad worked well for both my smaller laptop and larger one but the biggest flaw is again the lack of an anchor point to steady the larger laptop from sliding. The fact that it actually prevented my smaller laptop from throttling is evidence enough for me (without actually measuring temperatures) that the pad works in removing heat faster. 3 fans out of 5 were sufficient to cool my smaller laptop while keeping noise levels low. Add to the fact that the price is decent makes this a great buy in my opinion. ... show more

    • Would be a 5 star if, it had stoppers so it didn't slide in my lap.

My only negative to this, is it's slick, and I like to sit on the couch using my laptop, which means I'm in awkward positions. I have to balance a bit to keep it from sliding, and it still slides off from time to time. Aside from that it's awesome. My Alienware slim lap top is a beast of a gaming lap top but is on fire! This little thing, keeps it cool, is quite, no obnoxious lights, and you can increase or decrease the speed of the fans. Freaking LOVE this pad! ... show more
