  • Love this case
Color: Floral Green My Book
This case is so cute I love it, the design is definitely just printed on but it still looks great. It is exactly a book binding which I think is super fun. The Velcro is super sturdy and it’s not really meant to be adjusted, so try and place it properly the first time

  • Super cute case
Color: Recently Deceased Handbook
This is a super cute kindle case for my kindle paperwhite signature edition. As describe, the case is lightweight, well made, and a great size. When closed, it looks like a hardback book, which I love. I’m not crazy about the Velcro (mostly because I hate the sound), but that’s a minor issue, especially since I’ll not remove the kindle unless & until I get a new case. The Velcro is really strong, so no worries that the kindle will fall out. The magnetic closure is secure and I have no concerns with my kindle being damaged. I also liked the inner label that says the cover was “handmade” in England and included the name of the person who made it. That was a lovely touch and I appreciate that it was handmade, especially in this day of cheaply made, mass-produced items manufactured in countries that are not known for fair wages or good labour practices. As I haven’t had the case very long, I cannot comment on durability. But will update this review in a few months. ... show more

  • Love it!
Color: Grimoire Magic
It looks as good as advertised, and the magnetic clasp is good quality. The velcro is perfectly sized, and the dimensions fit my Kindle Paperweight 7th Gen perfectly. It also is not too bulky which helps to maintain the feeling and portability of the device.

  • Extremely cute, but not removable!
Color: Grimoire Magic
First off, this thing is cute. Like crazy cute. Like people are giving me compliments all the time every time they see it cute. It's made of a good, sturdy board with beautiful clean lines and a gorgeous crisp design. I absolutely love this thing! The magnet that holds it closed is extremely strong, so when I fold it open it snaps together so tightly that when I am ready to close the cover it's actually a little hard to wrestle apart. That being said, it seems like it's holding up well. The only reason I give it a star off is because it's advertised as having a Velcro piece so you can take your Kindle out of the case. It's important to note that I could not get my wireless charge to work through the case, but I wasn't too worried because I could just pop it out and toss it on the charging pad a couple of times a week. Unfortunately, while you technically can take it out, the piece of Velcro is so strong that it is a battle to get it out. After removing it once, I noticed it was actually pulling the backing away from the board, and I feel that if I did it again it would actually rip the inside cover off of the case. It needs a much smaller piece of Velcro. The material they're using is incredibly strong and they don't need a 2x3 inch step to hold it. It's not a deal breaker, I can still plug my Kindle in and charge it. But I was a little sad, because I honestly had thought I would buy a few of these and I could change the case depending on my mood. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be taking out of the case again because I don't want to damage it. ... show more

  • Perfect option for gentle Kindle users and home readers
Color: Floral Green My Book
It’s not a sturdy case, but it’s not intended to be. It will definitely see wear and tear pretty quickly if you expose it to the elements, throw it in a bag, or fold the front cover back (just like a real book) but if you’re a gentle Kindle user looking for the tactile experience of a physical book with the convenience of a Kindle, this is a perfect option. It’s absolutely beautiful. ... show more

  • I wanted to love it... but
Color: Floral Green My Book
Update: I can confirm that once I stopped using this cover, my battery life returned to normal. I have been a Kindle user since the first generation. At first I needed the Kindle to be as “book like” as possible, but over the years that has passed and I am fine now with origami covers, stand covers, whatever. That said, this looked very pretty (I got the green floral) and I thought it would be a fun cover to have. It is pretty but there are a couple of issues, one that is a real deal breaker for me. First, I was hoping for something at least leather-like, if not actually leather. I get that there is a lot of craftsmanship involved (it is nicely made) but it was also nearly $30, so printed cardboard was a bit of a letdown. But ok, as I said, it is nicely made. My two real issues were (1) the plastic thing that holds the device and (2) the magnet. (1) The note that comes with the cover explains that the device will be a tight fit in the plastic sleeve. Although the corners fit tightly (so I don’t think it would fall out if dropped) the sides fit very loosely. While not likely affecting the functionality, it was annoying, for me anyway. (2) the magnets... first of all, the sleep/wake didn’t work. Not a big deal, although it is supposed to do that. Reading older reviews it seems that in the past there were complaints about it not folding back for one handed reading. It does that nicely now, probably especially because the magnet that holds it open is very strong. Now, I can’t be sure, but I do know that strong magnets can affect battery life and since I have been using this cover my Paperwhite battery has been terrible. Usually it goes weeks, even if it is the one I am using primarily at the time (I swap between it and the Oasis). If it it is not in use, it will literally hold the battery until I start using it again. I noticed that the battery was going down quickly While using it, so charged it to 100% 2 days ago. I didn’t use it in between but today when I looked it was at 58%. That was this morning and by tonight it is already down to 47%. I can’t return the cover now, as I have used it for a few days, but I doubt I will use it again because of it’s apparent effect in the battery. I have put the device back in a previous cover and will update this review if I am wrong and the problem is the battery. So to sum it up... it is very pretty and well made. If you require your Kindle to look and feel like a book, it certainly does that. It is pricey considering it’s not leather, but well made enough that unless you particularly wanted Leather it’s not horribly overpriced. If a case that is loose fitting bothers you, you may not like it and there does seems to be a battery drain issue that I suspect is due to the strength of the magnets. I would not buy again. ... show more
