  • Pro-grade reliability for any home garage
Size: Manual-Ranging
After looking at several options I went with the Klein MM325 because I needed a rugged manual multimeter. This tool is built for household DIY and automotive jobs where you need real reliability without spending a fortune. I think it deserves five stars because it simplifies safety while providing a very sturdy entry point for beginners. It feels heavy in the hand which gives me more confidence than using some cheap discount store brand. The standout feature is definitely the Lead Alert which uses bright LEDs to show where to plug in probes. This effectively stops you from blowing a fuse because it forces you to look at the jacks first. It has survived a couple of drops on my garage floor thanks to the thick casing and backlight. The accuracy is impressive for the price and the DC voltage readings have stayed consistently within the manufacturer specs. Just keep in mind that manual-ranging means you have to select the voltage settings yourself instead of it being automatic. I did see some minor millivolt ghosting when the leads were floating but the instructions explain that is normal. This is the ideal multimeter for any homeowner who wants a safer and more durable tool than unrated junk. I highly recommend buying this if you want a guided experience that helps you avoid making expensive electrical mistakes. ... show more

  • Perfect for light/DIY use
Size: Manual-Ranging
I needed a multimeter for myself to round out my toolbox. I wanted a Fluke, but honestly couldn't justify the price with how infrequent I need one, especially for just light home and auto use. It's worked a treat, and if you know how to read what you're looking at it appears super good enough to me. I wouldn't use it for ultra accurate work or anything that needs very fine readings, but for outlet voltage, batteries and the like it is ideal. I would recommend this for the price of admission. ... show more

  • Great Quality Multimeter for the Price
Size: Manual-Ranging
I’ve been using the Klein Tools MM325 Multimeter for a while now, and I’m really impressed with how well it performs for both DIY and professional use. The build quality is solid—typical of Klein Tools—and it feels durable enough to handle daily use in a toolbox or on a job site. The display is clear and easy to read, even in lower light. The auto-ranging feature works accurately and saves a lot of time when switching between different measurements. It handles voltage, continuity, and resistance testing reliably, and the leads are sturdy with good flexibility. One of my favorite features is the backlight and data hold function—it’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference when working in tight or dark spaces. The battery life has been great so far, and the protective rubber case gives it a rugged feel that inspires confidence. If you need a dependable, mid-range multimeter without spending a fortune, the MM325 is a fantastic choice. Klein’s attention to detail really shows here. Pros: Sturdy and well-built Accurate readings Clear backlit display Great value for the price Cons: Doesn’t measure milliamps or microamps (not a dealbreaker for most) Slightly bulky for small tool pouches Verdict: Highly recommended for electricians, HVAC techs, or DIYers who want reliability and ease of use without going for high-end professional meters. ... show more

  • Excellent Meter.
Size: Manual-Ranging
I love this meter. I use it everyday in my work as a technician. It hasn't failed me yet. It's easy to use and seems to be accurate. It replaced my $300 fluke which bit the dust after so many years of excellent service. This Klein works just as good. It is a little bit smaller than my Fluke was and therefore fits better into my tool pouch pocket. The case is very durable and the screen lights up well. It is a very good value for the money. ... show more

  • A good basic multimeter that would be priced about right IF it included a carrying case
Size: Manual-Ranging
I've been a fan of Klein Tools for awhile now; mostly the hand tools used for wiring and networking. When my 30 year-old multimeter died, I decided to get a simple Klein meter as a replacement. In terms of functions, it does everything that I need it to do. This is a manual meter but as someone that might reach for a multimeter half a dozen times a year, that's plenty adequate. Plus my old meter was also manual. I think this meter will serve me fine for years to come. I'm deducting one star because at this price point, I think a basic meter of this build quality should include a carrying case. The other reason why it gets a ding is that the continuity checking can be slightly fickle. I can't get the tone to consistently sound when checking continuity without fidgeting the leads a bit. It's not just the continuity tone, but other readings as well. I'm finding that I need to move the leads around to get a solid reading for most applications. Not a big deal and maybe that's how meters are at the lower price points. It's just something to be aware if you're looking for something with good sensitivity. ... show more

  • 1 year later review - holds up well!
Size: Manual-Ranging
Purchased a year ago and used regularly. It’s held up very well and has always been accurate. It’s is well built and has a good feel. It’s made to take abuse, so I would recommend this one.

  • Klein makes good tools.
Size: Manual-Ranging
Great multimeter for the price. I bought a cheaper multimeter and has serious problems. I put it into an outlet and sparks flew everywhere!! Then I bought this one and zero issues. I have used it a few times and it works great. Dont mess around with the cheaper brands this meter is perfect.
