It's also used primarily as our family's e-bike station and I also purchased a powered USB hub I mounted onto my garage wall so that we can keep lights, helmets, and whatever accessories charged. Huge work light! As a shipyard welder, me and my crew put this thing through a lot. It’s important to note that while it has 6 plugs and 4 usb/usbc ports, you shouldn’t power max it out and push it to its overload limits. Neither should you connect a 3 way extensions to add more outlets. All outlets will fail if 6 people use angle grinders at the same time for buffing. You find yourself running back and forth to the breakers a lot. What’s cool about this power hub, however, is that the reset button is on it, not 1000 yards away in a breaker box with 1000 other unlabeled breakers. Alright we’re getting into the weeds If you find yourself frustrated with needing to use two or more extension cords that get tied up in 5 other guys cords, leads, lines, etc., costing you time untangling and what not, this product will do amazing things for you. Plug it in at the start of your day, run it out to where you work, and now you have a solid 6 plugs that can handle intermittent angle grinding, die grinding, a fan, battery chargers, phones. One guy was using a track torch while 5 of us were buffing and it lasted for like a few hours. Absolutely nuts, wouldn’t recommend pushing it that hard, but like all outlet extensions, people will abuse them and they’ve thought of that for you too. Make sure your power source is heavy duty btw, not a basic wall outlet. My one pet peeve about this tower is that the pair of hooks on the back for wrapping the extension cord have a lot of play in them for some odd reason. They wiggle a lot while I’m wrapping up the cord making me concerned about their life span. If they fixed that it’d be, in my humble opinion, a perfect product. Klein Tools, if you’re reading this, I work for a huge Korean/American shipbuilding company that’s looking to invest billions of dollars in new technology and equipment. They’re fascinated with this products, and I’d bring even more products to work if you sponsored me. It’d be huge to get your foot in the door with them and make Klein a household name for a new generation of welders and shipbuilders. ... show more
