STEEL BIKE TRAILLER HITCH Easy to use This Steel Bike Trailer Hitch provides the critical connection from your Trailer to your bicycle. The hitch installs easily on the rear skewer of your bike, and then stays attached so the Trailer can be connected at any time. If you’d like to swap the Trailer from bike to bike, pick up a couple spare hitches and install them on the extra bikes so the hitch doesn’t need to be un-installed when swapping bikes. The Steel Hitch will fit most bikes out of the box, but if you have a breezer style dropout or another unusual setup, you may require an adapter. How to install 1. Open the quick-release lever and remove the nut and spring from the opposite side. H old the lever and pull the axle skewer with spring out. Completely remover the skewer but leave the wheel in place. 2. Slide the coupler onto the skewer. (The wide end of the spring should face out and touch the lever, the bell of the coupler should be face out and the tab washer hook should face in toward the wheel hub. 3.Insert the end of the skewer though the wheel hub, replace the spring (wide end out) over the end of the skewer, followed by the nut. 4.Adjust the coupler to right angle and tighten the nut by hand and clamp the lever. Connect the trailer with the coupler by a Q/R pin.
