  • Comfortable, Well-Thought-Out Battery Head Strap That Makes Long VR Sessions Easier
This KIWI design H4 Boost Comfort battery head strap has been a noticeable upgrade for my Meta Quest 3 use. If you’ve ever felt the stock strap get uncomfortable or pulled forward during longer sessions, this accessory tackles that issue head-on and adds real value with the integrated battery. The first thing you feel is the comfort improvement. The halo-style design redistributes weight away from the face and forehead and shifts a lot of it toward the back of your head. That reduces facial pressure in a way that’s immediately noticeable compared to the standard strap. For play sessions longer than 30–45 minutes, that added comfort makes a difference — especially with more active or standing games. Build quality feels solid. The materials don’t feel cheap or rattly, and the padding is thick enough to stay comfortable without being bulky or overly warm. The adjustment mechanisms are intuitive, and once you find a fit that works for you, it stays put. It’s clear this wasn’t just thrown together; the design feels intentional and well executed. The battery integration is another strong point. It adds significant extra playtime — I was able to stretch sessions well past what the Quest 3 alone gives me — and it charges relatively quickly, finishing up in about 2.5 hours as advertised. That’s convenient if you want a near overnight charge cycle without fuss. The dual-fast-charge design helps keep downtime minimal, which is exactly what you want when you’re in the middle of something. Installation was straightforward and didn’t feel like wrestling with parts. You clip the Quest into the strap, adjust, and go. Once it’s on, the headset feels balanced and doesn’t pull forward or dig in, which makes a surprisingly big difference in comfort and immersion. I also like that it doesn’t interfere with the headset’s fit or sensors, so everything works just as it should. One thing to note is that this is specifically designed for Quest 3/3S. It’s not compatible with Quest 2, so make sure you’re pairing it with the right headset. Overall, this strap delivers exactly what most people are looking for when they want more comfort and battery life from a VR headset. It’s comfortable, well made, and adds genuine usability to longer sessions. If you use your Quest regularly and want a better fit plus extra playtime, this is an easy five-star accessory. ... show more

  • Comparing the H4 with the K4 (spoiler alert, H4 wins)
First off, I will say that no matter what head strap you get, you will have some pressure on your head. The choice is, however, whether you want that pressure mostly on your face (K4) or mostly on your forehead and a little bit on your face (H4)? Personally, I prefer the pressure on my forehead as it is more tolerable for me. That is why I prefer the H4, and returning the K4. With the H4, I feel that I have more adjustment options. Many reviewers stated that the H4 is too loose, especially when compared to the K4, however, I feel that the H4 was plenty stable. Additionally, you can configure this headset to press against your face as well, to give you that K4 feel if you enjoy those super intensive and workout apps. However, for all games I played (shooters mostly) I was able to adjust the H4 with minimal pressure on my face and still able to react quickly and look around quickly in the game without feeling the headset was loose. With the K4 that I used exclusively for about a week, I would get painful pressure on my cheeks within about 20-30 minutes. This also affected my ability to close one eye when aiming snipers and would fatigue my face rather quickly. This happened even when I tried to put as much pressure as possible on the top strap of the K4 to shoulder as much of the load as possible. I do appreciate though that the K4 has a more "integrated" charging cable, where the H4 cable pretty much just goes from the battery pack to the Quest externally. But this is such a minor detail that has no affect when the headset is on. Another win for the H4 is that you are able flip up the headset without any adjustments and see your surroundings when in a game, something that you cannot do in the K4 as the pressure on your face is what keeps the Quest on. The battery seems to be the same on both, and adds about 2-3 more hours to the headset for a total of about 4-5 hours. Another positive (for both the H4 and K4) is that the charging input is at the back and bottom of the head strap making it easier to enjoy the Quest 3 while charging, as opposed to coming out the side of the Quest 3. Ultimately, I personally feel the halo style head strap is much more comfortable, allowing for longer play sessions without much discomfort. ... show more

My son loves the comfort of this head band and the added battery life. He wears glasses and it’s made using his VR headset so much more comfortable
