I was wary of buying this, but fed up with my nearly unusable mini closet. I decided to buy this to organize my shoes. It came ina fairly small box and wa a very easy and quick to assemble. It fit quite tightly in my little closet space, so I assembled each tier, and then added the tiers one by one inside the closet until I reached the top. It is very lightweight, so I wouldn't recommend for anything heavy duty. The "shelves" are a coated cloth kind of like a tarp material, but seem very tear-resistant. This would travel well if you needed something easy to tear down and take along for organizing for camping, photo shoots, etc.

I am very happy with this rack. I was a little concerned when I opened the box and saw so many pieces and that the shelves were fabric-like. (Iguess I didn't read the description.) I was doubtful when I began assembling the first shelf and it was crooked. But, after a little adjusting and a few taps with the included wooden mallet, it was very easy to put together. I took my time and it took about 45 minutes to put together. It is sturdy, holds 20 pairs of shoes and doesn't take up much floor space. It is tall and might be tippy if a little one pulls on it. If you have small children you might want to think about securing it.

This shoe rack is very flimsy and doesn’t really support boots or any kind of heavy shoes. It was easy to assemble however I was missing pieces and when you put shoes on it it starts to lean a little. Overall it does fit like 2 pars of shoes per shelf and the price could be a little cheaper for the quality.
