The shelf arrived in a neatly packed box. Each shelf needs to be assembled. The instructions were very clear. It’s mostly repetitive steps to assemble. Once a layer is assembled, it goes on quickly. All parts required were neatly labeled and included. Once assembled you would see how big it is. The depth is great to display anything in it. Can be used for books, art supplies, shoes, office supplies and much more. We got it for shoes but after looking at how sturdy it is, we decided to use it for art supplies. Easy to put together. Item is heavy and sturdy! Make sure you put it together where you want it, otherwise it will be a big project to move. Especially since the top "shelf" (the piece that covers the top) comes off VERY easily. It should be glued down to ensure it won't come off. It spins nicely, however I would have preferred a silent spin, but you get what you pay for. This piece is beautiful and I would purchase again if need be. ... show more

Be ready to invest time and elbow grease. I assembled this piece alone. One person assembly is doable but I highly recommend an assistant, if available. Once this piece comes together it’s so functionally and stylish. It’s a little bulky so be sure you have enough space to accommodate it. The instructions got complicated and confusing (I had to rework the round pieces; due to, the instructions wasn’t clear on which side to adhere the sectional pieces on). This rotating rack is for my daughter to store her shoes. I like this vertical design much better than horizontal shelves rack as this takes so little floor space but can hold 24 pairs of shoes and you can also sort them according to color or style. This is a very well constructed rack and all the pieces have weight to it. At first it looked like a tricky assembly but it was not and it took me just about 30 minutes to get it set up. All the pieces are well locked in place and the whole shelf rotates smoothly. This holds her shoes and other footwear nicely and a few bulkier boots she can put on the top. The height of each compartment works well for flip flips, sandals and sneakers. This rack can also be used to store and display books and decoration pieces. It will be a nice piece in study with all the books and photo albums. I can imagine how well this can organize spices and other pantry items as well. It's a versatile design that can be put to different uses but for now this serves as a shoe rack for my daughter and she loves that all her shoes are visible and easy to grab. ... show more

Preface: I did not buy this with the intention of using it for shoes, so please excuse what may look cluttered, but I'm still organizing everything; I just wanted to show off just how much storage these shelves can hold. I'm using it as a general makeup, all-in-one storage as I essentially live in a 1br, and it's a great way to store my things vertically and while not actually taking up a lot of valuable floorspace. It was one of the easiest pieces of furniture I've put together, though I added some glue to the pegs to secure it even more, since I knew I'd be adding a lot of weight. It turns very easily, even with a all the weight. See the video for how smoothly it turns on it's own with little effort. Tldr; 10/10. Holds a lot of volume and weight. Turns smoothly. I would absolutely buy another one as a place to display my sculptures, figurines, crystals, etc. ... show more

Terrible hardware the sections do not secure with tool A so it's modular for me. Easy to break when assembling so hand screw despite it taking longer
