I’m honestly so impressed with this satin heatless rod set! I put it in overnight and secured it with a duckbill clip, and it stayed perfectly in place the entire time. I’m also a side sleeper, and it was still incredibly comfortable. I barely noticed I was wearing it. I have naturally curly, frizzy hair that’s fairly long (down to my bra strap), and I simply brushed and detangled it before putting the original size rod in. I’m pretty lazy and not very skilled when it comes to doing my hair, but I watched a few how-to videos and couldn’t believe how simple it was to execute. The results were amazing. My hair came out soft, smooth, and beautifully styled, with the frizz noticeably tamed. It also helps extend my hair wash days. My hair stays less greasy and much more manageable. I had a hard time deciding what color to get, but it's really prettier than the pictures, so you probably can't go wrong. I've done overnight/no-heat curling before, and it was either time-consuming, uncomfortable, or came out so-so, so I was skeptical. However, after months of testing, I've found it's my go-to no-heat styling option. PROS - It's easy. It's so simple and fast to put in...just like doing a front French braid, but way easier. - It lasts. Stays put during the day and when sleeping, and it's comfortable—doesn't pull my hair and hardly noticeable when you're lying down. - Doesn't look terrible in. I've even gone to the grocery store on a busy day wearing it (like a fancy headband lol). - It works. End result is amazing: nice body and smooth waves/curls (if you start when almost dry and leave in until fully dry) that last for days. - Just right waves/curls. Not too curly, either, which you can end up with with individual padded rollers (which take much longer to put in if you have thick hair like I do). - Take it with you. Sooooo easy for travel, and takes up almost no space: I've had no problems leaving my diffuser and curling iron at home. In some ways, it's even better than my best crunch and slow air-dry days, because my hair comes out very smooth and stays that way for days. Things to note: my hair is naturally wavy, so it curls pretty easily, but I think it should still work for straight hair. Only one CON: Doesn't come with a hair clip. TIP: I use my own xlarge claw clip to hold it in place at the top (which really helps) while I do one side, then take it out before I do the second side. I have long hair but I’m also experiencing hair loss so I’ve decided to not use heat tools. This Kitsch Heatless Rod system sounded perfect because I wanted larger and loose curls. I definitely felt there was a learning curve with this velvet material because it really holds onto your hair and it’s difficult to push up as you wrap around the rod. I’ve used silk curling rods from Kitsch and those were a lot easier to use than this material. My arms became very tired and it took awhile for me to get the wrapping done correctly. It was rather difficult to undo, my hair did not want to let go of the rod. My hair did come out nice and wavy but I experienced some frizz and I believe it’s due to all of the tugging to get them out. I’ll definitely be sticking to a silk material curling system instead of this one. -I changed my review from 2 stars to 3 because this company gives amazing customer service! They reached out to me regarding my experience with this product and they absolutely made it right. I will continue to purchase from this brand and I really appreciate their kindness!

I honestly was a bit skeptical of how well this would work for me, but I was pleasantly surprised! This set is so cute. My hair is on the longer side, about mid back. I used it on damp hair. It was difficult to wrap my hair tightly around the headband/wand, but I only spent about 10 minutes trying. My hair ended up being wrapped somewhat loosely. I was sure it would come undone during the night, but it stayed secure! When I took it out in the morning, I loved the outcome! It worked so well even though my hair wasn’t secured super tight, and that was just my first time, so I’m sure I’ll get better at it. My hair was pretty curly at first and I still had left over waves two days later! The set was a bit uncomfortable to sleep in, as I couldn’t turn my head to either side very far, and I felt like I had to stay on my back. However, there’s a couple ways you can use it and I hope to find what works for me and make it more comfortable in the future. Overall, a great product and I’m so glad I bought it!

I typically curl my hair with a curling iron and have for years, I'm quick and I love the results. But despite it not taking super long and loving how it looks after, I often just don't feel like doing it. So I decided to try this on a whim during the prime day sale after watching a few videos, and I'm happy to say that I'm pleasantly surprised with the results! My photos are after I finished wrapping my hair up (it was slightly damp) and then the next morning after taking it out. It was easy to do after watching a few videos (which I recommend), and I didn't have any discomfort or issues sleeping with it in. I unwrapped it from my hair (easy) and shook out my hair and that's the photos included. I haven't brushed it out which I may do later but want to see how much it falls on its own first. My only critique is the curls are pretty small and I typically prefer larger ones, but that's entirely on me for not looking into dimensions or if there's a bigger size, not the product's fault. I will definitely use this product again and I'm happy with the results so far!
