This meat tenderizer gets the job done. It’s a little smaller and lighter than I expected, so if you’re looking for something with a lot of weight behind it, this may not be it. That said, it works well and is comfortable to use. It takes a little more effort than a heavier tenderizer, but it still does the trick and has held up well so far. It's a mallet! Yes, folks, it's a beater on a stick. Nice & durable. The grip feels nice. Goes through the dishwasher just fine. It's pretty big, and it's definitely got some heft to it--perfect for recalcitrant chickens. The texture on the tenderizer side is not too spiky, not too dull. The smooth side is great for beating crackers into crumbs.
