(I hope to update with a photo soon) HOW THIS COMES This comes with a nicely arranged foam packing tray. All of the parts are securely in the foam and no damage was done in shipping. This is really a good shipping experience. TEAPOT The teapot is really pretty. It has a nice bronzey applique on it which is not applied perfectly. There are a few tiny spots where it is wrinkled or it is not applied as perfectly as it could be. I view it as a charming imperfection. POURING I hesitated to get this, because it was shown to be a messy pouring teapot. I have silicone extenders which I have used on other messy teapots and it solved the problem. They worked with this too. It makes it not so messy so it is easier to use. CUPS The cups are pretty large- compared to other Asian tea sets. These are double or triple the size of many of the small ones you get with many teapots. That is fine though because I like to fill them part way and then hold them from the top area so my fingers are not too hot. These work fine for that. HANDLE The handle can be removed for storage and then put on when it is time to use it. Squeeze and fit it and it springs into place. So far it has held up well. STRAINER The strainer in this is decent and works if you decide to use it. THE BOTTOM LINE This is a pretty set with room for quite a bit of tea. I had to use a silicone tea spout adapter to make it pour without being a mess though. MY RATING FOUR STARS. This should pour better than it does. Thankfully I have an adapter, but if you didn't you might be frustrated unless you strapped a paper towel around the spout for pouring. The design is very pretty. The deep warm blue with the warm bronzed design is a beautiful combination.

This set arrived very well packaged, each piece was set in styrofoam. Overall set is nice, pretty much exactly as shown in the photos on Amazon. In case anyone is wondering, this set It is made in China. While there is nothing wrong with that, if you’re a stickler for quality, there are some minor glaze imperfections on the set I received. I’ve uploaded some photos showing this. They’re not very noticeable and probably won’t detract from the beauty of this set for most. Another observation is the string wrapped around the handle shifts a bit when I pick up the teapot, hopefully it’ll last. When pouring tea from a full teapot, quite a few drops drip onto the table, lesser amount drips onto the table when the pot is say half empty. Overall a very nice teapot set, most will be happy with it. I just wanted to point out some observations that other reviews didn’t mention. Update: we still like the teapot very much. Another observation is that with the dark color, it’s difficult to tell how strong or light your tea is since you can’t see the color! Something you can easily do with white teacups.

It's so flipping pretty, like when I opened the box I was so shocked, the color and details where amazing. I love tea of many kinds and I'm happy that I was able to get this because I've always wanted I set. I'm so afraid to use it and someone destroy it that I just want to put in a well sturdy China cabinet and just use it for special occasion.

I got this set for my daughter, as she loves to do tea parties with her older brother. He was home over Thanksgiving, so they did the tea party over the weekend. These are her words: "It was really securely packed and didn't seem like it was likely to break. The set is really pretty. The teapot holds enough tea to fill 4-5 of the cups, so for a tea party for the two of them, it works great. The teapot does keep the tea warm for a pretty long time. Even with boiling water in them, the cups didn't get too hot. They were definitely warm. That was something I worry about with this style (no handles on the cups), but these worked well. It was easy to pour, and easy to get pretty much all of the tea out. We used tea leaves the first time, and there weren't any little bits of tea leaves in the tea, so the basket worked really well. The second time, I tried tea bags. I used two bags, but I think I should have used three. I put the tea bags in the little mesh thing too, and that worked well." Back to my words. The set is easy to clean, and the cups are big enough to get into them with a washcloth. The mesh insert part seems like it needs pretty gentle handling. I loved seeing my teens on the floor, laughing and drinking tea. It was great.

This is such an elegant tea set, perfect for those that are hosting friends at home or even as a gift to your friends or family that enjoy tea. This tea set comes with a tea filter already built in which is useful so your steeped tea doesn't have leaves in it. The handle is made from a metal bar wrapped in thread. I really liked the look and feel of this however, it did seem a bit thin. The design on the cup is similar to that on the tea kettle itself which gives it a sense of uniformity. This set has 6 cups and 1 Kettle. Great look and keeps the tea warm.

While I really like the look and feel of this tea set (and packaged very, very well inside the box!), I was very annoyed that the capacity of the teapot was not listed or shown anywhere when I ordered. Well, not to worry, that's the first thing I checked once I unboxed everything. It holds more than 700mL empty, so with the nice, large, included infuser and your tea you should still be able to brew a full 700mL. That is a bit on the small side for me, particularly as this includes six cups. It should really be at a larger capacity if you want to show it off for several guests. The spout has a nice gooseneck design, but pour carefully when it's at full capacity as the tea/water will pour out of the lid area if you pour too quickly. The design on the teapot is also very nice. The artwork is subtle but still beautiful. Combined with the cups it's a pretty elegant look. Keeping the capacity in mind, I would recommend it for any tea lover, or for anyone who wants to seem like one!
