Before purchase many said you'd have to fiddle with the settings to get the best result. True. Took me about 8 expresso pulls to get close to where it needs to be. I do a double shot mocha each morning. In order to get the grind size small enough (to achieve the desired pressure on the gage) I had to max out the fine/course slider on fine AND do the additional adjustment described in the manual to get even finer. It's not hard to do the additional adjustment to the burr grinder just sort of annoying there isn't more headroom on the slider to the fine side to start. I have the commercial Kitchenaid range, dishwasher, pro 600 mixer, and some other stuff from them. This machine follows along their philosophy of a solidly built machine bordering on professional quality. Only had it a week so no long term review but pleased so far and at $800 it's a lot cheaper than the truly pro stuff.

The media could not be loaded. I appreciate a strong espresso in the morning. So far everything is working. I’ve only made a couple of items from the recipe book. The bean grinder is quiet and so far everything is working. I’m new to espresso machines so maybe I should have done this review a year from now. But presently, I’m happy. The set up and unboxing were simple and painless. All items were accounted for in immaculate condition.

I've been making my own espresso for 4 years now. This was an upgrade from my Gevi. What I am impressed with is the steam power! I haven constantly formed my milk 100% of the time. The grinder and machine as a whole is super quite, and the grinder produces supper fluffy grinds Things I dislike: the green color is barely noticeable. I can't seem to quote get the pressure up to the 9-11 ranged it makes it just below recommended pressure. The grinder doesn't seem to change the the amount of it being coarse or fine. It seems like ot stays the same. I just schedules an online meeting m, and I hope they can fox it. Great machine for beginners, and I recommend 100%

Im a kitchenaid fan. I use my standing mixer all the time and have all sorts of attachments for it. I’ve also used several espresso machines. This one was not intuitive, the instructions were trash, and their were limited to no customer video walk through online. I followed the instructions to purge water through the system in the manual and then by following the video online because the manual instructions were awful. After I did that, I tried to run the machine, it then ran two super weak shots where the water was barely room temp even after adjusting the temp setting from the middle to the top setting. I looked up troubleshooting and nothing helped. In frustration I pushed the purge button which is front and center as I was pushing buttons to try to figure out why it wasn’t working. When I pushed the purge button it wouldn’t turn off. I even hard restarted it several times. I contacted kitchenaid customer support and they told me to do what I had already done. Also, did I mention It was also leaking!!!! After the first use, I didn’t try again until the morning and it had leaked. The water container was on correctly. Super disappointing. I was really excited for this. Oh well returned it and got a breville which worked perfect right out of the box. Take notes kitchenaid!

I have been looking for a new espresso machine for home for quite some time. I kept debating between semi & fully automatic options with a plethora of different price points. I was genuinely unable to make a decision until I saw this beauty. I love the sleek design & the fact that the exterior is not plastic. I have seen far more expensive machines that I would never be able to justify the price point of, but this is a solid machine & I believe it is worth every penny. And, can we take a moment to admire how beautiful the Juniper shade is? It’s perfect. Setup was very quick from unpacking the box to making my first latte. The steam wand is comparable to many other machines within this price range & you will have no issues making a piping hot latte, americano or even a perfect cup of tea. I am extremely impressed with how quiet the grinder is. I can make a latte in the morning before work without being in fear that the noise will wake my spouse. The machine does not take up a massive footprint on my countertop. It is fairly compact. My upper kitchen cabinets are set a bit low so I was fairly certain that I would not be able to set it on the countertop at all, but it fits like a glove. If I had *one* negative thing to say it would be that my puck does not always easily release from my portafilter. Overall, I could not be happier with my espresso machine.
