It was easy to attach - even to an older mixer. It worked really well. However, put the plastic ring on top of the bowl. (The one that is used to add dry ingredients) It helps keep the dry ingredients going directly into the bowl.

I’m a home baker and I typically do 2-3 sizable “bakes” each month. I make A LOT of frosting and was tried of sifting powered sugar so I bought this and tried it for the first time. It’s cool! I can weigh, sift, and gradually add all in one. I read some comments that say it’s messy but I find that most powdery ingredients that need sifting are messy in general. I like the fact that I can pour the sugar in and not have to sift it by hand how we honestly it’s a big box to store and it does make a bit of a mess. I have never written a product review, never. I love my kitchen aid stand mixer and can't imagine my life without it. When I saw this product, I thought it was going to be the most amazing thing. I was wrong. The sifter is so slow. You have to keep tapping the side of the bowl of flour in order to get anything to actually empty into the mixing bowl. It is such a disappointment. It is easy to use, easy to clean, I just couldn't bare to give anything more than 1 star. I completely regret purchasing and didn't try it until it was too late to return.
