  • Perfect for the small home or apartment living.
Color: Hot Sauce Size: 3.5 quart
I purchased the Kitchen Aid Mini on Dec 31, 2019, paying $189.00, and it arrived on Jan 4, 2020. I was on the fence about buying a KitchenAid blender for a while, but finally decided to pull the trigger. Since I live in a small apartment with very limited kitchen space, I opted to go with the mini. In my opinion that was a good decision. When the package arrived from Amazon, I opened the box to find another smaller box inside. I opened that box to found it contained the commercial box for the blender. Everything was well packaged with not a trace of damage or prior use. I was surprised that there was no recipe book included, just a quick start guide. I had watched so many Youtube videos of this blender I had no use for the guide. My first project was to test it's bread dough making ability. It handled that task without breaking a sweat. The dough hook attachment worked just fine. I have to admit the speed setting lever does not move as smoothly as I would like it to. It takes quiet a bit of pushing to get the lever to move. I then decided to make some chocolate chip cookies. Again, it performed flawlessly, even though the cookie dough was even thicker then the bread dough. Next I decided to see how well it would handle a meatloaf. I just broke up 2 pounds of ground beef along with all the other ingredients and attached the paddle attachment, which I had also used for the cookie dough. Again it performed without missing a beat. My last little road test was making mashed potatoes. I peeled and cut up some Yukon Gold potatoes into small pieces and boiled them till they were tender. Then using the paddle attachment I put them in the bowl and mixed them up for a minute or so the break them up. Then I switched to the whisk attachment after adding a little heavy cream and a couple tablespoons of melted butter. I whisked them at a setting of about 4 until they were nice and smooth. Came out delicious. I've made mashed potatoes like this a few times since. The KitchenAid blender fits fine on my small counter space when I need it and in a cabinet when not in use. I'm sure if I would have brought the full sized KitchenAid it would have proven to be a mistake. It only weighs about 15 pounds, so it's pretty easy to lift and move around. When I cook, it's only for my wife and I, so the 3.5 quart bowl is plenty big enough for our needs. So far I'm completly satisfied with my purchase. ... show more

  • My Mint Green Mini Powerhouse is Amazing and Gorgeous!
Color: Hot Sauce Size: 3.5 quart
I love this mini KitchenAid mixer. I have the one in pale green. It fits on my counter without screaming "I am the monster mixer". I can make a cake mix in a snap. I have kneaded two loaves of bread easily. I just made a coconut pie. I made mashed potatoes for 6 people easily with this mixer. The 3.5 quart is a great size. The beater that I use the most....the basic one that is just a loop....is so easy to clean. The stainless bowl is easy to clean and does not have a handle to take up more space. It came with the basic beater, dough hook and the whipping beater for egg whites and such. I did order the beater with the scraper attached to it. I also ordered the splash screen for the mini. I hand wash everything! It is so easy to just rinse in hot soapy water. People come into my kitchen and admire my lovely mixer. I always wanted the big mixer. I cook from scratch a lot. My counter space is limited. This mini is always up and plugged in....love it! Great buy! ... show more

  • KitchenAid mini-mixer, a great replacement to the original.
Color: Matte Gray Size: 3.5 quart
Had the old, full sized classic model, but sold it when we moved into a motorhome. Happy to see this mini-size model. It works just like the original, but fits in our smaller space. If you grow up using the KitchenAid mixer, it is hard to like anything else. This mini fits the bill, meets all of our expectations. Seems just as powerful, but smaller and lighter. Only two of us now, so the smaller capacity is just right. One new improvement we noticed, the speed comes on slower, so you don't have flour flying all over the place by mistake, and on the old one the lock to keep the mixing head down, seemed to be very easy to pop to the off setting. This new one, seems to work much better, as it needs a bit more of a nudge to get to the off setting. Really like that. ... show more

  • I am in love with this baby
Color: Liquid Graphite Size: 3.5 Qt
I've always envied by family members their Kitchen Aid mixers, but couldn't justify the price, and didn't want to store the big, clunky appliance. I had no idea they had these tiny babies until I got a text from the Treasure Truck with this as the item of the day (in graphite), and I purchased it literally within one minute of receiving that text. I have issues with my wrist and arm when it comes to mixing, and my kids and husband are used to me calling for them to help me. I suppose I could have kept doing that, but why would I want to when they have this?! I've owned it less than 2 weeks and I've already used it a ton. It's light enough that it's easy to carry. It's small enough that it's not a hassle to store. It's pretty enough that I keep it right on my counter where everyone can see it. It's easy to clean. It comes with 3 different mixer heads. Best of all: it's powerful! This is exactly the same as the bigger mixer, but in an easier to handle size. I consider this money well spent because it makes my life way easier when I'm baking/cooking, and my family appreciates the fruits of my efforts. ... show more

  • Fantastic Mixer!
Color: Honeydew Size: 3.5 quart
This Artisan Mini Series Tilt-Head Stand Mixer is perfect for my family. It's large enough to make a full batch of cookies, a two-layer cake, and dough for bread. It's easy to use and is small enough to stay out on the counter. I love the color too. I bought a Flex Edge Beater to go with my mixer and it works great; scraps the sides so you don't have to stop the mixer as often. This smaller mixer is a great size and worth the money. ... show more

  • Honeydew mini Honeydew mini
Color: Honeydew Size: 3.5 quart
I have been waiting to buy this mixer since I heard they were coming out with a mini one. I've never owned a mixer and the fact it does so much with all the attachments is very appealing. I wanted the mini because I live in an apartment and I love to cook. It's also just so adorable. The only thing that held me back was the price. I was literally saving up Amazon gift cards so I could afford this mixer. I wish that it was more affordable for the demographic they are aiming at. I got the Honeydew color- online the color looks more dark bright limey, but in person it's a lovely lighter/softer honeydew green that is still super vibrant. It's a good weight to move around the kitchen easily if needed. I love the brushed stainless bowl too. Bowl and beaters fit in really easy. The locking mechanism takes a while to get used to, feels hard to unlock sometimes. Was a little surprised that above the lock, the silver banding seemed to push in a little to the touch and wasn't super well put on there. The first thing I made was cookies. First impression was that wow, makes it a breeze to mix and stir. Second impression was that wow, how can they not include the flex edge beater with it, especially given the high price of this thing! I had to scrape the edges with a rubber spatula during the mixing of the butter and sugar because it was all lining the edges of the bowl... then with the gradual adding of the flour as well (see picture). I imagine that the flex edge beater would solve this one issue. It's still not available for purchase separately, or the splash guard plastic bowl accessory, that I know of which I think is another flaw in the release of the mixer. One time adding in flour I missed the bowl and spilled a bit because the diameter of the bowl is pretty small when you have the beater up in there too with the arm up. But, it fit everything easily for my cookie batch and I don't imagine it ever being too small volume-wise for the cooking/baking I do. Overall, I'm so happy I have this in my kitchen. Excited for all the stuff I can make with it and to slowly accumulate the attachments. Hopefully there will be an icecream bowl attachment made to fit with this, too. ... show more

  • Awesome mixer for a small household
I love the mini kitchen aid mixer. There are only two of us, so I didn’t really need the bigger capacity. I have some health problems that keep my muscles weak, so having a lighter mixer is a plus. It’s still hefty, but it kind of has to be to keep the quality and longevity that kitchenaid is known for. The only downsides to getting the mini over a bigger mixer are that you have to get different blades, like if you wanted to pick up a spare one or the silicone scraper. They’re a bit harder to find, but of course, if you’re on amazon, they have it here. The other downside is that you can’t use the ice cream maker attachment, because the bowl won’t fit. Every other attachment works with it, as far as I’ve seen, so you can still have it as a powerhouse in the kitchen, just with a smaller footprint. To summarize, this mixer is smaller, but that’s not a bad thing! It won’t make ice cream, but it’ll still do everything else. ... show more

  • Great for small apartment or someone out on their own for the first time.
Color: Honeydew Size: 3.5 quart
I bought my artisan when I was living in a tiny apartment. I literally didn't have room for a standard kitchen aid and my first purchase of a mixer died a quick death. I am rough on my machines because I expect them to preform like my mothers kitchen aid I learned to cook with. Well after that little one was 30 down the tube I saved up my pennies to buy an Artisan Mini. I was worried that it may be under powered or too small, turns out I didn't need to be. It has preformed magnificently at everything I've thrown at it. My only complaint is that the small unit has limited attachment options. Replacement bowls, paddles, dough hooks, and whisks are rare and expensive and there are no attachment that screw into the bowls spot. Update I've been torturing this referbished model for 4 years now. Still going strong. There are some chips on the enamel of the dough hook and paddle attachment but nothing terrible. Comparing the cost to the glorified eggbeater I payed 7X the price and it has lasted 25X longer and counting. This is still a one of the best purchases I've ever made for my kitchen. ... show more
