Beautiful color, works as expected except beware if you’re going from an older Hamilton Beach mixer as I was, since it might not feel as powerful because there’s not as many speeds and it just doesn’t go that fast overall. So far I don’t think this has been a problem unless it explains my homemade mayo fail, but that very well might be all on me so for now I’ll keep the five star rating. Otherwise mixer works as stated. I’ve had it for a couple months now and used it several times to make cookies and mashed potatoes mostly. It made it through the dough ok, is not overly loud so my toddler isn’t terrified when I use it (which is a big plus!), the beaters go in and out with ease making set-up and clean-up a breeze, and the whole set is lightweight and easily hung up on an s hook in my kitchen so it doesn’t take up much space. In sum, as long as you don’t need those extra higher speeds this mixer has your name written all over it! ... show more

Excellent affordable choice. After using a full blender and not being completely satisfied with it balance wise I went with this handheld option by Kitchenaid to make my own body butter and wow! This little device has power and is not loud at all like another reviewer stated. It blended/whipped both my shea and cocoa butters very nicely. The “blue mixer” is a light turquoise. I like the color, no problem for me. It works very well. When it starts at the lowest setting, it perfect for a starting mix. The mixer I had was “hyperactive.” Seriously, I had hold on to the bowl and mixer. The setting on this mixer are very accurate. Buy it!

This mixer is AMAZING. Granted, I've gone through many cheap, $30ish mixers over the years. They are always loud and I tend to burn the engine out after a few entertaining events worth of using it. Stepping up and spending a bit more and getting this one was a wonderful decision. I am sensitive to sound and will always use ear plugs with a mixer. This one is so quiet that you can tell that it's on but it's not an offensively loud sound at all. It's also smooth and it doesn't fling batter everywhere.
