  • I love it?
Best mixer to own! A little expensive but worth every penny!

  • Very powerful.
Kind of heavy to carry, does a great job, A handheld backup mixer is a good idea for things that need to be beaten over the stove or hot water.

  • This model is packaged to IMPRESS. Yes, yes, yes!
My husband offered to buy me a Kitchen Aid starting two years ago and I declined over and over because I had my trusty Oster Kitchen Center. I didn't want to get a KitchenAid just because it was trendy. I'm the type of person that wont even buy a car brand new if that tells you anything, so spending a bunch of money on something I didn't "need" was just a big NO. Well, my Oster Kitchen Center started to not work so well and I'm teaching my children to cook and bake, I figured it was finally time to revisit his offer. I researched the different models, differences between them all. I knew I wanted the glass mixing bowl but didn't like that the Artisan Design came with non-coated attachments or that the Artisan came with some coated attachments but no glass mixing bowl. Then, on a trip to Bed, Bath, and Beyond with my mom, I noticed they sold this same product/model but for close to $400 dollars! Their employees tried their hardest to convince me that I should buy it at their store because I could use a coupon. I declined because I was sure Amazon had the same model for a better price. I wasn't disappointed!! Still, I was skeptical, because it's still a lot of money to shell out for a stand mixer. I pretty much stated "this mixer better impress me" over and over until it arrived (two day shipping via Prime, yes!). As I unpackaged it, I was giddy with excitement. It's so pretty!! It is heavy and sturdy, and I didn't need instructions to figure it out. And that glass bowl, wow! Sharp, sharp, sharp! But does it work? Oh yes, it sure does! And, it's so much quieter than my old Oster Kitchen Center! I have made heavy dough, soft dough, creams, and batters with it without issue. The motor handles the tasks expertly, without groaning or balking. I. LOVE. IT. That's right, skeptic turned fan! Three things: 1) The plate that the bowl locks into, at least on mine, needed turned so the bowl fully locked into place without rocking. This was easy to do with a Philips screwdriver (remove 3 screws, turn plate 1/3 rotation, replace 3 screws), it took me all of maybe 50 seconds to do. 2) I bought coated attachments to replace the non-coated attachments included with this product at the same time. 3) Why in the world is there no coated option for the whip attachment? KitchenAid, get on this! Besides the whip attachment currently not available in a coated option, I am SUPER happy with this purchase! This would be the model I would gift to all my friends if I could afford to do so! ... show more

  • KitchenAid = <3
Amazing kitchen gadget! I've been wanting a KitchenAid for years. The iconic red is just spectacular and I love the large glass bowl. I've only made a few things since this arrived home, but having the KitchenAid do all the hard work for you is awesome. Making bread doughs are a lot easier when you're not mixing it by hand. I like how the glass bowl has measurements actually molded into the glass - so they shouldn't really go anywhere (unless you plan to file the glass down.) I love the paddle attachment with the silicon scrapper - it doesn't get everything off the edges, but does pretty darn well. If you're only making one cake, or a small batch of cookies, it might not work as well, since this is more equipped to do large batches (like doubling recipes) - It does work well for single and small batches, but you'll have to use a rubber spatula to really scrape the edges down. All in all, I can't complain about this item. Love it and it looks great in my kitchen. ... show more

  • Looks beautiful on my countertop.
Haven't used this mixer yet, but it is on my counter top just waiting :-). I'll leave a full review after my first experience with it. UPDATE 5/16/17: I used this KitchenAid mixer last week. What a difference!!!! I (years ago) used to have a Classic KitchenAid mixer, used it for years and loved it. But, it got old and tired looking and I wanted something "new and glitzy" which was a total mistake. I bought a Professional KitchenAid mixer that was totally different. The bowl was lifted up and down, not the tilt head stand I was used to and you had to make sure the "button" in the back engaged with the bowl or it would not work. I just couldn't get used to it. To me it never worked correctly. I took it out of the kitchen to the garage and it sat there for the last 10 years. I was looking at the Mini KitchenAid mixer, but those prices are outrageous. I then looked at this beauty. It came with the attachments I had been used to and the "mixer" attachment with the rubber spatula on one side does seem to clean the bowl very well. The only thing missing from this particular KitchenAid is it has no shield to keep the flour from flying out of the bowl. I compensated for this by picking up the tilt head and manually mixing the flour into the liquids. Maybe this wouldn't be something someone else would want to do, but for me it keeps the flour in the bowl with minimum time lost and that's my ultimate goal. Made a cake that didn't take any time at all and clean up was a breeze, just like my Classic KitchenAid mixer, and I also like the glass bowl. It lets you see if you have everything mixed at the bottom. This is the Kitchen Aid mixer I need for my baking needs. ... show more

  • Pretty sure I died and went to heaven when this came in!
I have waited for years to buy one. Finally said enough is enough. Why did I wait so long!!! Oh my gosh. The amount of time it saves is just amazing. Never believed the hype on all the time saving etc that a KitchenAid would give. It's true. Recently made my first homemade pie with meringue (yuck). My Grandma would have been proud. (and I know I owe it all to the KitchenAid) It is heavy, so it has it's own section of counter rather than being put up and pulled out each time it is used. Besides, I like looking at it. This one came with the whisk, paddle, and dough hook, they are very easy to change out. There other attachments that can be bought for it also, such as a pasta maker, a spiralizer, an ice cream making attachment...it goes on and on. If you are like I was....and want it, but can't really bring yourself to do it....Go for it! You will love it! I wish I had done it years ago. ... show more
