After reading a lot of review ratings and looking at all the different styles of rolling islands we decided on this one-we are very glad we did! We live in Wisconsin and the island shipped from California so I was concerned with that big/heavy a package it may arrive banged-up or damaged but it came in a little over a week and was just fine. The unit was fairly easy to put together-we found out just take your time and look VERY closely at the diagrams as if you don't you'll get a section together and then realize you didn't get (for example)the wooden pegs put in or some other component. There are a LOT of screws to install so a small screw-gun is a big help but only use it to BARELY SNUG the screws in and then finish tightening them by hand and even then don't try to really go hulk on them or you'll strip them in the "wood". Some of the screws for assembly are very tiny and didn't grip as good as I liked so I purchased some slightly longer ones (in the same diameter) to use in certain areas-this is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I give 5 stars for how all the holes for the screws were drilled-everything was drilled PERFECT-even for hanging the doors-there is no adjustment for them yet after installing them they hung perfectly. We had one little moment of panic when it came to installing the paper towel holder-the hole for the "cam-lock" feature was a lot smaller than all the other cam-lock holes so was thinking they didn't drill it big enough but after looking at the diagram and searching in more parts bags were found the smaller cam-locks we needed-sigh of relief! It took my wife and I probably 2 hours (with breaks) to put this together-we are both in our early 70's-so if we can do it you can do it-just take your time, look CLOSE at the diagram and you'll end up with a very nice island on wheels! ... show more

    • Very well made, Takes more then 4 hours to build
The instructions are bad, just going to start with that. They're very confusing and you're lucky if the numbers match up to the instructions. Had to get partway only to have to disassemble it again because parts weren't labeled or labeled correctly. Unlike Ikea or other places each part had to be built, every piece had to be assembled together including the doors and drawers. Give yourself some time, its worth it though However, once the basic assembly was done, counter top is roomy, very well made. Side pieces are useful and everything is very well made, been very happy with this purchase. ... show more

My 18 year old son surprised me and put this together, in 3 hours. It hasn't fallen apart! It's smaller than I expected but the extra cabinet space holds pots and lids. The drawers are small but works well as a junk drawer. I love the appearance of the island in my kitchen. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

The 4 screws holding the door knobs on were missing. (Item I M4x18mm). Any way I could get the supplier to send them to me?

    • Could it come in more pieces?
Assembly is worse than IKEA furniture, I swear. It comes flat packed just like it too. But once together it looks good and it’s sturdier than I thought it would be. Assembly took me just over 2 hrs with drink in hand.

    • Good for the price
Was rather difficult to assemble, more due to the instructions not being very clear. I’m very handy, and consider myself good at assembly or fixing anything. It took about 5 hours, and about an hour or more, was spent figuring out how parts went together. Biggest problem, is the back side pieces slip into grooves in the sides and along the bottom. They stood up about an eighth inch at the top, preventing the top from fitting down properly. I didn’t screw down the back of the top due to this. When I get access to my table saw, I’ll cut those back pieces down. I didn’t want to chance cutting them with a circular saw. Also, the crack between the doors, is noticeably larger on one side. *UPDATE. After contacting the company and sending pictures, they sent me a new one! Customer service was prompt and friendly. I love the cabinet but I also know it is made of "particle board". A few pro tips, My husband and I both know how to use a power drill. If you do use a power drill, do NOT tighten completely. Tighten by hand. My husband and I both used this method and did not have one problem. Go over all the pieces before you put together. (There was an error with one of the rollers. We had the other kit to use from so we were fine.) If something is missing or cracked, let customer service know. Once together it is quite sturdy and BEAUTIFUL! It is not difficult to put together. it's gorgeous. * First post: This was my first experience... First, I had metal in 4 of the screw heads. Fixed it, easy peasy. Next, I could not get the inside board attached because those screws were not big enough. Fixed it. After double checking all my connections were correct, I tried to stand it up and it just collapsed on one side. When the hubby got home he showed me different cracks on the MDF side and told me to be thankful I hadn't put it all together and put things in it. He said it never would have held. I think this was just a bad batch. If they allow me to return it and get another I'll do a review. I truly believe that once assembled without cracks in the MDF parts, it will be a sturdy cabinet.
