I absolutely LOVE this torch! I use it for medical marijuana vessels that need a high temperature flame and it performs better than the smaller micro torches. This is a great torch for heating a dab rig, dab straw, nectar collector, nectar straw, or any sort of dabbing vessel. It is a wonderful product for anyone who has painful joints in their hands, as it only requires a medium-light squeeze on the ignition trigger. It has been GREAT for my painful joint days!! I can imagine it would be easier to use for arthritis patients too! It is a little top-heavy, so when the gas is low in a canister, it is liable to tip over. I keep it in a tall metal cylinder to avoid this. Also, when you first add a new canister of gas, the flame will be erratic. It tends to do bursts, so just turn it down a tick when it does. It will not do this as frequently as the gas in the can starts to lower. Also, the gas cans are readily available at Sam's. I have seen them at culinary or restaurant supply stores as well. Overall, I've had this for 6 months and it has performed beautifully!

This is a great torch for the price point, it's got a built in ignitor button, so you don't have to worry about using a match or other lighter to start it up, the adjustable gas flow knob means you can just turn the gas flow on, pull the trigger to light it, an then fine tune the flame to your desired size, the fact that these run off butane cans means you can sit the torch upright and run it hands free, which is very useful, it's heat is more than you could need to light most anything,an it's also got the fine tuning knob in the front to soften the flame, I honestly wasn't expecting such a nice torch for the price, definitely would recommend, just make sure you get the right type of cans of butane fuel for it, I believe they are typically the 8oz cans.

The media could not be loaded. Really good product for the price. Worked great right out the box. Both intensive and size of flame is adjustable. The durability seems reasonably as well. Just make sure you get the 8oz butane canisters meant for camping stoves, otherwise it may not fit

I also thought it might work to toast popcorn. I like to put garlic and onion powder on the popcorn after I make it, then run it though the microwave a second time and wait until it just starts to get that toasty garlic and onion smell. However, that is touch and go. If I am just a few seconds off the popcorn will burn. This torch doesn't work well for the popcorn, it tends to set the popcorn on fire. Talk about being a few seconds off and burning it! Tried to brown some pretzels with it - ended up blackening them. Oh well, onto the meat brazing. I cooked some chicken breasts and used this afterwards to give the meat that nice charbroiled taste. It worked well for that. However, it did leave the chicken with a slight oily propane/butane taste, not overpowering but noticeable. I am guessing this torch is not very efficient and doesn't burn the butane completely. And when using this, it must warm up for at least 2 minutes to avoid flares. Because if you don't do that, you will have some major flames shooting out of the nozzle unexpectedly. There is NO WHERE in the details stating that I must use up 2 minutes of this kinda expensive butane fuel, just to use the torch for a minute or so. It does say ON THE PACKAGE to let this warm up for 2 minutes. And it does work better with less flares, but it still flares a bit. I'll attach a video of this flaring up while moving it around. And there is an image way down below the details of the package this comes in. But it is poor quality and unless you enlarge it, you can't see it. Not what I consider forthcoming with the pertinent details. I tried a substantially more expensive kitchen torch. And ya know what the difference is between this one and that one is? NOTHING! Works no better and still flares. And there are a few of them that look exactly like this one. Some people are convinced that if you pay more for something it must be better! Maybe that rang true in the bygone days of "QUALITY CONTROL". But not as much today. None of the videos on this show it flaring, or instruct future customers about the dangers of the flares, and the 2 minute warm up and 'waste expensive butane fuel' time. Why must I let this warm up for 2 minutes? Had I known that I'd not have purchased it in the first place. This might work for you, but I suggest you use it with caution. DO NOT LET CHILDREN PLAY WITH THIS. Detach fuel canister when not in use as well. I'm gonna give this 1 star, for the dangerous flares and not mentioning in the details that this needs to be warmed up for 2 minutes. I don't recommend it, based on my own experiences and the slew of negative 1 star reviews, which look like a combination of Workplace Safety Training Videos and a Blumhouse movie. I bought another one for the same price, although it still flares a bit, it is a significant improvement over this torch, and I will take that as a win. The video shows only one flare of many. Don't buy this. I don't trust this. I don't think it is safe. Stay clear of this one. Like the police say: "Move along, nothing to see here". Hope this helped you make a decision. The media could not be loaded. This is a great little torch. I don't know why it's advertised as just a kitchen torch when it can be used for so many things. It works good and seems to be very sturdy and easy to use. One of my favorite things about it is I can turn it upside down while using it and it still works. That is one of the annoying things about my big torch. I make my own plant stands and texture the wood with my torch to give it character. I also do pour painting and use it to torch my paintings to pop the air bubbles and bring the cells to the surface. I did another video showing how well it works upside down but was only allowed to post one video. I've only had it for a few days but tried it out on on the wood burning and painting to make sure it was going to work for what I needed it for. I can't attest for longevity but it appears to be good quality. I'm sure I will find other things that it works for also.
