This is not made like a typical trench coat (thick cotton material) that holds its shape. Rather, it's mostly polyester and hangs more like a sweater. The price equals the quality so it's OK for throwaway fashion, but won't have a crisp look, if that's what you're going for.

Pulling it out of the bag, my first impression was that the fabric felt really nice. This is not your mom or grandma's polyester (of the 60s & 70s). The fabric is lightweight but thick enough to not be cold on a fall day. I am 5'9" and it comes well past my knees. I also look pregnant and it coves and buttons over my stomach without bunching and looking crazy. The pockets are nice and deep. The belt has a good length to it. The stitching both inside and out is good. I worry that when I lose this stomach, the coat is going to fit weird at the neckline. Why? Because the V for the collar is rather deep and I am not a busty woman. I ordered the black in a 2XL. It fits great and the sleeves are long enough (I have long arms). Great find. 4.5 stars.

This KIRUNDO long double-breasted trench coat is made of a stretchy, lightweight poly blend fabric. Although it fits good and looks nice, I was surprised at how much stretch was in the fabric. I ordered a size small in the wine red color, after consulting the provided size chart. The color is accurate to what’s pictured….a pretty wine tone. The fit of the size small seems just a bit small and also measures about 2” smaller at the bust than the chart indicates, but the size is not so far off that I needed to size up. This is primarily a fall jacket/coat that can be worn with anything, with the exception of a bulky sweater or sweatshirt. Should you want to wear something bulky on top, I’d definitely suggest sizing up. There are double breasted buttons which give a classy look buttoned up, but I anticipate I’ll primarily wear the coat more casual with it open and the belt tied in back. There are deep welt pockets at the hips which are large enough to hold my iPhone 12, in addition to other small items. The bottom skirt of the coat is an A-line style, which gives it a little dressier look, in my opinion. There are very small shoulder pads stitched in, which I like….but for those that don’t care for them, they can be snipped out. The jacket is not lined inside, but the interior seams are neatly finished with a serger. I always wash new clothes prior to wearing them, so this was placed in an XL delicates bag and washed with cold water on the gentle cycle. I then draped the trench coat over a drying rack to air dry. It survived the laundering process, but there were a lot of wrinkles that required an iron (or steamer in my case) to remove. There were also a lot of attached threads that needed to be snipped off, there was a place on the back of the collar where the underturned fabric didn’t get caught in the seam, and there’s an area on the back of the collar where the stitching is pretty sloppy. Other than those issues, the trench coat seems to be finished satisfactorily. The KIRUNDO trench coat is a lighter weight than most trench coats, mostly due to the fabric used and the fact that it’s not lined. The trench coat would be a good to wear with slacks, dresses, skirts, jumpsuits or even a dressed up outfit with jeans. I did not currently own a trench coat, so I thought this would be a great addition to my wardrobe. However, the quality is a bit disappointing in my opinion. I really wanted to like this trench coat, but I’m unfortunately not able to give it a glowing review. It’s not the best quality jacket/coat I’ve seen…nor is it probably the worst. It’s obviously not as warm as a lined counterpart might be. The fabric has a good amount of stretch, but there’s also a good amount of wrinkling. At the time of this review, the price is $45.99 with a 25% off coupon available, which makes the coat a little more reasonably priced. But, for the above mentioned issues and for an unlined coat that lacks in quality, that’s still more than I’d pay for it if I was able to see it in person prior to purchasing it. Therefore, if the KIRUNDO trench coat is still something you want to add to your wardrobe, I would stay true to size, unless you have plans to wear really bulky tops underneath. For reference, my measurements are: Height - 5’4” Bust - 35” Waist - 30” Arm length - 22.5” Shoulder width - 15” Weight - 115#
