Description

Float off as the powerful puffball, Kirby, on an adventure that’s been enhanced for the Nintendo Switch 2 system! Explore in 3D platforming stages as you discover a mysterious world with abandoned structures from a past civilization—like a shopping mall?! Copy enemies’ abilities like Drill and Ranger and use them to attack, explore your surroundings, and save the kidnapped Waddle Dees from the ferocious Beast Pack alongside the mysterious Elfilin. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition has faster frame rates and higher resolution, but that’s not all—there’s also an additional story in which Kirby must use his amazing abilities, including some all-new Mouthful Modes, to clear a trail through uncharted territory after the world is struck by a powerful meteor. Hope you’re hungry for an unforgettable adventure! Feeling hungry? Kirby can inhale real-world objects and transform using Mouthful Mode! Why get one drink from a vending machine when you can swallow the whole thing? Then, use your boxy body to shoot out cans at baddies. Consume a car to gain some wheels and slam through walls. Sit back and take it all in…literally. Pass a Joy-Con™ 2 controller to a buddy to play as the spear-wielding Bandana Waddle Dee and help each other explore and battle through this colorful world. While Kirby can float and inhale enemies, Bandana Waddle Dee can spin and stab with his sturdy spear. Find friendship in this Forgotten Land and save the Waddle Dees! Float over obstacles and fight through enemies on your way to each stage’s goal as you slash, poke, freeze, and hammer using Kirby’s Copy Abilities. The tough puff is truly put to the test in dynamic boss battles that will keep you dancing about the arena. Choose from two difficulty modes for either a light, breezy adventure or a more challenging experience. Each themed stage you travel through will hide several friendly Waddle Dees in peril! Save them to grow the home base of your adventure, the once-deserted Waddle Dee Town. The Waddle Dees you rescue will unlock shops, leaderboards, and the ability to evolve Copy Abilities to make them stronger. You’ll also be able to enjoy some of the townsfolk’s favorite games. Use compatible amiibo™ accessories or Present Codes at Waddle Dee-liveries for useful in-game items. Track down cute collectibles to give Kirby’s house some extra charm either at the Gotcha Machine Alley or during your adventure. Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and Nintendo Account required for online features. Membership auto-renews after initial term at the then-current price unless canceled. Not available in all countries. Internet access required for online features. Terms apply. nintendo.com/purchase-terms amiibo sold separately. Visitfor details on amiibo functionality.

My son received as a birthday gift and have not wanted to put it down. He is having an absolute ball playing this game. I love hearing him laugh and not feel stressed while playing a game that’s supposed to be fun. My son is 10yrs w/ autism. Age appropriate kid friendly

  • Kirby at a Higher Resolution
Platform: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: Standard + Star-Crossed World
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a great platformer that lives in the Shadow of Mario and Donkey Kong. It does a lot of things right, and the game is fun, but compared to some more recent games, it's just not as good. To start, this is the same game that it was on the Switch, but with some DLC and better graphics. Is it worth the $79 being charged? I personally do not think so. The gameplay is decent as you traverse each level looking to free your Waddle Dee friends to unlock more features at your home base. Each level has "achievements" which are incredibly easy to complete to get more Waddle Dee's. Levels are unique in a sense that there will be enemies for you to absorb and use their powers to move forward, which is a staple for Kirby games. I know it sounds like I do not like this game very much, it just feels lack luster compared to other Nintendo games. The music is not very good, but the game play and graphics are. My dream is that we get a Kirby game with Odyssey level game design, but for now, this will do. As of right now, it's hard to recommend at $79. ... show more

  • Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World
Platform: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: Standard + Star-Crossed World
A Bright, Fun Adventure with a Few Rough Edges Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World brings Kirby into a new generation with a mix of charm, creativity, and lighthearted fun that the series is known for. The core gameplay still feels very much like Kirby—accessible, colorful, and full of clever abilities—but now it’s expanded with more open 3D environments that encourage exploration and experimentation. The Switch 2 upgrade gives the game a smoother frame rate, better textures, and more detail in environments, which makes Dream Land’s transition into this semi-open world style even more enjoyable. The main campaign is delightful, with Kirby’s copy abilities shining brighter than ever. Using the upgraded powers to solve puzzles and take down enemies never gets old, and the “Mouthful Mode” returns with goofy but surprisingly useful mechanics. The new Star-Crossed World expansion adds even more variety, offering fresh levels, extra bosses, and a story extension that gives fans more reasons to revisit the game. The design of these new stages feels creative and challenging without being overwhelming, which keeps it welcoming for players of all ages. That said, there are still a few drawbacks. While the game is gorgeous and fun, the difficulty is generally on the easier side, even with harder modes unlocked. More experienced players may find the challenge lacking until later stages. Also, while the Switch 2 improvements are noticeable, there are moments where textures or loading transitions don’t feel as polished as other first-party titles on the system. Overall, this package is an excellent entry in the Kirby franchise. The combination of the upgraded Forgotten Land and the Star-Crossed World expansion makes this feel like a definitive edition that’s worth picking up, whether you’re a longtime Kirby fan or just looking for a joyful adventure on the Switch 2. It isn’t perfect—mainly due to its easy difficulty and a few uneven technical moments—but it’s a charming, colorful, and thoroughly fun experience that stands out as one of Kirby’s best outings to date. ... show more
