This was not the easiest ceiling fixture to install. I still don’t think I got it quite right. There are a lot of parts, which isn’t the issue. Getting them all to fit together tightly is near impossible. Even so, it looks great and wasn’t expensive. I’ve noticed some random dimming but I can’t be sure that it’s not an A/C unit kicking on rather than the fixture itself as I installed them around the same time. ... show more

Frustrated during installation. Partly because it was missing two nuts, and it used a non-standard thread (8-36 instead of 8-32) which meant I couldn't buy the hardware at either Ace or Home Depot. Finally got it installed after a bunch of jerry-rigging. Once it was installed, I decided that I didn't like it because it shines very brightly onto a small spot of the ceiling above, highlighting any minor paint or ceiling defects. It probably needs to be farther away from the ceiling. And, while the bottom diffuser plate is glass, there's a gap between the diffuser and the perimeter of the shade at the bottom that you can see up through. And, I wouldn't get a cloth shade again. Should have got something that's all metal and glass, with no cloth or acrylic. Obviously some of this is personal taste, but I was peeved by the installation issues and it soured me on the whole product. ... show more

This is a pretty light fixture but you can tell that is cheaply made. It is up there in the ceiling so far that people won't see any manufacturing imperfections. It illuminates good and it overall looks good.
