abunda_amazon_reviews This thing is outstanding for the cost. Came w a cheap little case and led light is nice. For those complaining, your not using it right. Place the clear plastic part against whatever your looking at, whether it be a plant or a circuit board. Dont friggin try to hold it to your eye and try to find your target. Put the microscope ON what you want to look at, and thennnn look into it.....basically it works like a microscope, not a pair of binoculars and if you use it right it really works good.;;Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Works great!!!;;705;;;I've always kept 2 or 3 different Jeweler's Loupes for various reasons, working on electronics, removing splinters, investigating tiny insects, reading small print, looking at gems and jewelry, and often just for fun. I have been using it for a couple of months I guess, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I only recently realized that the magnification level is adjustable by sliding the eyepiece in and out. I took a chance and ordered this thing, expecting to be disappointed, because of the low price, but instead I experienced serendipity! I wasn't disappointed at all! On the contrary, I am shocked at the quality and usefulness of this thing. The LED is very white and is bright enough to be a small flashlight, and is much more useful than I could've imagined. There is also an ultraviolet LED that makes bright colors really glow brightly. I actually expect this to be really handy for some things, but I haven't figured out anything it's good for, yet. But I'm sure it really is handy. My wife got an identical one after she used mine a couple of times. She now carries it in her purse everywhere she goes, and she says she uses it at least once every single day. In fact, one of the best things about buying this loupe/microscope is that my wife likes it so much that she has finally stopped making fun of the oddball gadgets and things that I occasionally order through amazon.com! I didn't keep up with the shipping times, but it must've arrived quickly or else I'd remember it. And I also cant remember anything about the packaging, but we've received 3 of these and there has been no damage nor problems of any sort.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;This microscope/loupe thing is so good that I'm writing this review, even though I dont write reviews.;;Kane;;;This item is barely an inch & 3/4 long. The lens thru which you look is barely 1/4 inch wide. Bringing eye, the so-called "microscope", & the object to be viewed together is all but impossible. It's not even a toy!! and the worst part of it is THIS ITEM CANNOT BE RETURNED!!! I only found this out when I tried to return it. As far as I can tell "NO RETURN" is not stated anywhere on the product page. I have complained about that to AMAZON.;;Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2018;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;TINY BEYOND BELIEF!! DO NOT BUY!! CANNOT BE RETURNED!!!;;eellddo;;;Outside of the novelty I really didn't have ANY high expectations for this. First impression when I received it was it was far smaller than anticipated. Which is fine for me as I just thought it would be fun to have. I don't think it's truly 60x but probably more like 30x. At least compared with my loupes which I know are accurately rated. Still i does work, pretty well might I add, and would be great for stamp or coin collecting. As mentioned before, you place the place ring ON THE ITEM you want to view. You GENTLY ADJUST THE FOCUS. Follow these two directions you will get a pretty decent 3D image in the eye piece. The focal length is enough to get some sense of depth. Certainly better than a lot of desktop student microscopes. You have a trade off with focal length and focus. Usually the higher the magnification the shorter the focal length so 3D gets harder to pull off. I mean it's $7 guys. Great for exploring the world around you. Look at leaves, bugs, algae or hair. This will be more than sufficient for that. And you can see in the pictures you just drop it in a pocket and go. I think it is brilliant and will probably have a lot of fun with it.;;Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2018;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Pretty impressive for under $10;;Amazon Customer;;;Pure junk and not returnable even through Amazon Prime. Do not waste your money on this piece if crud. I cannot understand why it's not returnable unless they, seller and Amazon, know of its poor quality (a few do get ones that seem to work for however long..). Better odds on a lottery ticket.;;Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2017;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Cost--$6.99. Value--Cheap flashlight worth $.79;;NanaGram54;;;I was skeptical, given the price. When it arrived, I was surprised and a bit disappointed by how small it was. But it works. I was surprised by the clarity of the optics, the ability to see three-dimensional features, the trueness of the color (using the white, rather than UV light), and the magnification. The angle of the light helps a lot in seeing in 3-D. And the plastic cup at the bottom allows you to keep it steady on the table without crushing the specimen. I've used it successfully to distinguish features and colors on ticks the size of a sesame seed. Haven't tried it yet on the tiniest nymphs, the size of a poppy seed. This is my third pocket microscope" and by far the best, including one that costs that costs 5x as much. I wish there were a way to photograph the images, but what do you expect for under $5? (or under $3 is you don't mind waiting for delivery from China....);;Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2015;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Tiny & excellent for identifying deer ticks.;;Displaced Minnesotan;;;I had no special use for this product. I bought it out of curiosity. The casing is plastic (silver/aluminum color). It came with three LR1130 button batteries and a pleather pouch for storage. For replacement, the battery is available on Amazon, not yours local Walmart store. To replace the battery, you push down on the battery cover before turning it, else it will not turn. I guessed it's child-proof. They failed to mention it in the product guide, so it took me awhile to figure it out. Most loupe has 1 LED light and 1 UV light. This one has 3 lights. The UV light is in the middle. The two LED lights are bright making it easy to see the details. The light toggle switch has 3 positions. The middle position is off. The other positions toggle UV and LED lights. This is a microscope. You slide the barrel (Black end in the picture) up and down to focus, instead of moving the loupe. Now that my curiosity is satisfied, I will find a use for it. It's a good item to have on hand for examining gemstones or whatever at 60x. Bang for the bucks, highly recommended.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2015;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Bang for the bucks...Good product!!!;;Digitrash
