So Iā€™ve had the opportunity to test this unit along with a no name Amazon $25 unit as well as kingbolens more portable Bluetooth module that runs off an app on the phone This module has the ability to clear check engine lights as well as a lot of codes but it wonā€™t clear absolutely everything. The items it canā€™t clear arenā€™t necessarily things people need to clear all the time though. You can refer to the list comparison between this unit and higher tier models for a comparison on fault code clearing Speed wise this is much faster than the Bluetooth module but of course the Bluetooth module gets much more portability in return. When equipped with wifi you can access a lot of information on your fault codes in real time so thatā€™s very helpful Iā€™ve had the opportunity to use this on: Infiniti g37 Nissan 350z Acura rlx Acura rdx Honda crv Performance was consistent with every car. As a bonus the module will charge itself when plugged into a port so thatā€™s pretty cool Overall Iā€™d recommend this for the guy who likes to work on stuff at home. The price is competitive considering how much comes with it. The Bluetooth module is priced similarly but thatā€™s something Iā€™d recommend moreso as a keep it in the car just in case tool. ... show more

This scanner was easy to use right out of the box. I connected it to my wifi and performed system updated and vehicle specific updates for the Toyotas I work on. Itā€™s easy to navigate the menus and find your way around. The auto search works great, the diagnostic tools are in-depth. It shows you live data feed from basically every sensor. This will be a very useful scanner in my shop. When the vehicle is not compatible with certain features the unit guides to a screen that helps you do the function manually, like resetting oil maint light. If I had one negative to say it would be that the screens load somewhat slowly, but thatā€™s a small price to pay when you compare this scanners price to other expensive scanners out there. Using this primarily to reset service reminders and warnings on high end late model European vehicles. The tool has worked flawlessly for this. I previously had to send a late model Porsche to the dealer for reset. It needs to have an internet connection for some functions. I was disappointed that it does not scan all modules. It takes awhile to figure out how to perform some things as the instructions are very limited. The tool is a lot nicer than my Autel and priced about the same. The media could not be loaded. The S800 has worked great for me so far. I've tried it on several of my vehicles and it reports the same codes as other scanners. So, it's not missing anything. It's small and lightweight so perfect to toss in a bag when you need to go. The battery life is pretty good. It does seem to charge while connected to the vehicle, which is awesome, but most people have USB-C cables for their phones so charging it shouldn't be a problem. There are a lot of nice features packed into this unit. The screen is really bright, but dimmable if you're working at night. Quality seems solid. The updates take awhile so set it up when you get it and let it download. It's supposed to have free lifetime updates. So that's pretty sweet. I just used this to help a few friends last week and it really helped track down the problems before they fired the parts cannon. Cool scanner. It's in my go bag. ... show more

So far, I have tried multiple scanner from different brands on different cars. These scanners ranged in price from around $45-$1100. This scanner is a winner when you compare the cost to the features! The user interface and experience is smooth and pleasant. Showed more live data stream on the same car than my other more expensive scanners. It also showed the range of normal/expected values in the live stream for the same car that more expensive scanners didnā€™t show. Impressively, it also showed the mileage reading from the ECU when other, more expensive scanners didnā€™t. I also noticed that itā€™s very fast completing a full scan and I didnā€™t notice delay in the live data. If you are on a budget, this scanner is highly recommended!! ... show more

I have had many scan tools and this one is by far the best. Comes in a nice box that protected it during shipping and storage. The screen is very bright and easy to read. 15 resets that are very useful and very easy to use. The cables are very heavy duty. The book is easy to read and understand.
