The bed is really beautiful and sturdy. Easy enough for two people to put together. Make sure you have a ratchet wrench for most of the screws! The Allen wrench that comes with the bed works fine but can get tedious and tiresome with so many screws. Our twin XL mattress fits perfectly on this bed. The headboard material is soft and really pretty. I got the light ivory color. Would definitely recommend this bed. ... show more

This is one of the first major pieces of furniture that I have ever attempted to put together myself. The box came securely pact and box was not damaged. I opened it in the garage and all the pieces are enclosed within the headboard covered with flimsy material that velcros closed. It took me 4 trips up 2 flights of stairs in order to bring everything into the guest room. I'm not the strongest and it wasn't so hard. Video Instructions were easy to follow, all hardware was included except for 2 missing screws. The entire frame is made of plywood which isn't sanded, it's wrapped in the soft poly material which is ivoryish. I got several splinters and scratched fingers. The dust from the manufacturer drilling the holes caused a mess. I hand vacuumed the headboard compartment and all along the fabric. The footboard was the trickiest assemble, but not a huge problem. The whole design concept is clever, however the un-refinement of the plywood together with the cheap hardware could be an issue. I almost think that the plywood could split because of too much pressure from the screws. Also, along the side, 2 screws are poking through the material, but haven't gone all the way through yet. The bed is a bit wobbly despite there being "levelers" along the middle rod. The other 2 side leg things only graze my floor, but once I put an area rug down on the hard wood, I think the wobbliness will work itself out. All in all, I'm glad I didn't pay for assembly, I hope the company sends me the 2 screws, and I think the bed is good for occasional guests or children, but I'm not sure if the over all quality could hold up as an adult everyday bed. I got a 12 inch mattress as another review suggested. The bed looks good and the price seems a bit high priced considering the cheap seemingly weak plywood. ... show more

The headboard smells as if the bed has been used prior in a house of smokers (no offense) I also had several problems with screws not going in due to holes not being fully drilled through and several issues with things not lining up. I was missing a few bolts and the nails came in a big ziploc type bag and were not labeled. I also had trouble figuring out which item was which as nothing had a letter on it. The velcro piece on the wooden parts of the bed to hold the mattress were also not stapled onto the bed correctly so the wooden pieces were uneven when laid out. ... show more
