  • Rv fifth wheel shocks
These are nice shocks. When installing, be aware that they are a little larger than the factory shocks. I had to drop the axel all the way (with tire removed), then install the bottom of the shock first and tighten. That enabled the top to be gently tapped into the top hole. Be careful to not damage the threads. Took me about an hour and 40 minutes to do all four. I had to cut two of the factory shocks loose. Well worth the money. And would purchase again. ... show more

  • Nice product but a PIA to install due to excessive length of shock studs
Nice product and appear to be a significant improvement over the OEM shocks on our 2012 Sanibel 3500 5th wheel travel trailer. However, due to what I'm assuming is the universal fit of these shocks, the threaded studs on each end are very long. Consequently, on my trailer the trailer frame had to be jacked up high enough until the axles and leaf springs on both sides hung completely unsprung before you could fit the shock studs between the mounting plates; and they were just barely able to fit (by a 1/32 of an inch) while completely compressing the shock. A lot of frustration and trial and error to get them to fit before finally jacking the trailer frame up and placing it on jack stands while allowing the axles to hang down completely unsprang to get to get the shocks to fit. It would have been a much easier installation if the studs on each end of the shock were a 1/4" shorter and or there were instructions in the add telling you that on some trailers the suspension/leaf springs must hang completely down while unsprung to install the shocks. ... show more

These are good shocks and I would have given five stars except it was a little bit long for my camper and I had to grind off some of the threading so I could fit them into the brackets, other wise great.

  • We have a 32’ 5th wheel.
We needed the shock absorbers and a pinch period I planned on buying better ones at the end of the season. I changed my mind After about 4700 miles of driving. Trailer handled great no issues.

  • Will not fit your John boat trailer as discribed!
Not a replacement for a John boat as discribed.. not even close! Pictures are fully extended- and it wine even fit into the gap where the shock goes compressed. Waste of time and money. I mean the shock seems to be great quality, but it does not fit as described- and I took the whole axle loose to give it the benefit of the doubt… ... show more

  • worked great
have not bougth shocks in years and my kids little scamp immitation camper had shocks, trying to find out how to measure is hard so here ya go,, compress old shock, measure the shock not to the end of the bolts,, to the end of the housing only,, then expand and measure again,, this put me right on to the old shocks,, if I had measured end to end of the mounting bolt, then I would have been in trouble,, they fit perfect and work awesome ... show more
