I'd give this mattress 4ish stars. Considering the price when I purchased, it probably deserves more than 4 stars, but I haven't had it very long so I can't know if there is any longevity to the quality. I researched hundreds of mattresses on Amazon, used ChatGPT to help analyze and cross compare for my needs. It got intense and confusing, but I was trying to replace a Purple mattress that sadly became infested with mold due to an issue with humidity in our home. The Purple mattress is great mattress that's hard to beat, but it isn't worth the price point in my opinion. We only had it 5 years before this developed. It's not so humid in our home that this should have been possible. The Purple definitely isn't THAT much better than some other options for comfort, and unfortunately, the proclamations that it is more antimicrobial (less foam) than alternatives with improved airflow proved false for me. I digress. Bottom line, I'm mostly comparing this mattress to the Purple because that's what I know. This one seemed like a good bet, especially when it went on sale the next day. It arrived close to on time, rolled up in vacuum seal and a box. Opened relatively easy. I was able to pull it off solo. One odd thing- When sleeping alone in the bed or with no more than myself and my 80 pound dog, it is a medium firm that is great for side sleeping. However, when my husband is also in the bed, my side will raise me up a couple inches as soon as his weight enters the bed. Because he's much heavier than me, it seems the air pockets around the coils in the mattress respond to the heavier weight, and the air distributes to the side with the least amount of pressure. Like a balloon, pool float, or cheap air mattress would do. This makes the mattress less comfortable for me because the air distribution means I'm now on a much firmer mattress. It's not terrible, but it's not nearly as comfortable as when I'm alone. Positives are that it's a very comfortable mattress for my husband and mostly a comfortable mattress for me. My husband is not a small guy (6'1", 300ish pounds), and he finds it to be very supportive and firm enough for comfortable back sleeping. We both sleep comfortably on our sides. It's a very different mattress feel than the Purple, but for us, we sleep just as well in this new mattress. It does not sleep as hot as many mattresses I've had in the past, so it seems to have pretty good air flow. The edge support is lacking. You can't really sit on the edge without sliding off when it sags. Great mattress if you want something <$300. I doubt many at this price would compare.

I have had a lot of mattresses.. like a lot. Like 4 in one month, 8 in 2 years. I have a really hard time finding something that is supportive but not too firm and I do have a lot of body aches and pains. This mattress is so far one of my favorite mattresses, and the price point can’t be beat which is really why I bought it. I figured I would give it a shot, I’ve already wasted thousands of dollars on mattresses. It is soft but has the support I need. I wouldn’t say this is firm at all, probably more medium/soft but not plush where you just sink right in. My husband typically like a very firm mattress but he’s happy with this one too so it’s a crowd pleaser for different sleeper types. There was a very faint odor when unboxing that went away within a few days which is common for these types of mattresses. My only complaint is the edge support. I feel like I could roll right off the bed if I am too close to the edge. I’ve never experienced a mattress with this issue but it checks so many other boxes for me.

This mattress is like the mattresses we used to have years ago. We have this in our guest room and our guests said they could feel every movement, even when they just changed position. It's really annoying and disappointing. Other than that issue it would be comfortable.
