We previously had an memory foam-only mattress and we a little disappointed by how the lack of bounce made other things a little more diffcult. This hybrid provides all the luxury of a memoryfoam and that bounce you need. We was box-shipped so it did take time for mattress to fully expanded. Once I got the mattress on the bed, I was very happy with it. It started to expand immediately upon removing the plastic sheeting, and I think it was fully expanded within 24 hours. It feels great – firm underneath with a plush layer on top, which is exactly what I like. It weighs 80 pounds, though, and I probably would not have bought it if I had noticed that in the product description. Getting it upstairs to the bedroom was unduly challenging. And then once it’s in place on the bed, you need to be able to lift the mattress to tuck in the sheets and blanket, and that’s quite a chore. I dread having to turn it when the time comes (fortunately, you don’t have to *flip* a plush-top mattress). It provides a great night’s sleep. I’m not sure why people received a mattress that didn’t look like the pictures, mine looked exactly like them. It also arrived early, even despite the holiday shipping issues! It expands fully to 14” and must have some sort of very supportive coil system inside despite being shrink wrapped. I should have taken a photo before putting sheets on the bed but I’m very happy with it. This is the perfect mattress for our guest bedroom/used for occasional naps - not sure how it fares as a full time bed, but keep in mind that anyone might want to splurge for a main bedroom if pain relief and comfort is a big issue for you. ... show more
