I was very hesitant to buy a mattress online. It hasn't went so well in the past. However, I saw this mattress on a lightning deal, and I decided to give it a shot. I think it's important to mention that I've never dealt with this company before and no one has offered me anything to write this review. I took the mattress out of the box and cut the strong plastic holding cover with some scissors. I should have opened the enclosed envelope first. It includes an opener to slice the plastic without fear of cutting the mattress. It says that it takes up to 72 hours for this mattress to expanded, but it expanded almost right away for me. I had sheets on it within 20 minutes. I know it's natural to have an odor with some memory form mattresses, but I didn't smell anything with the Avenco. I slept on the mattress almost immediately after taking it out of the box and had a great night's sleep. The mattress cushioned my pressure points and still had the firmness needed to support my back. I flip from side to back so both pressure point comfort and back support are important requirements for me. This mattress scored A+ in both areas. I'm super happy, and if Avenco shows to be a quality product long term (there is a 100 day trial period), I would purchase another mattress from them in a heartbeat.

This is a great mattress for the price. It was easy to unpack and came with a little cutter to use to get it out of the wrapping..It definitely didn't take 72 hours to get it's shape lol, only a few hours and it was ready to go. Great relief for my back! Highly recommended. ❤️ 🎉

I read reviews and researched , and had previously bought this brand of mattress for my sons dorm room and he loved it. When it went on sale fir Prime day I bought it. It arrived fast and expanded as promised. I let it sit overnight and waited to sleep on it. Sone reviews said there were stains, I am not sure how it would get that since it’s vacuum sealed, mine had no stains or odors, great condition. However I have had this a month and it is HARD, not soft. I am a smaller person, less than 140lbs and I don’t put a dent in it. I’ve had guest stay over (relatives bigger than me) and I let them try it out and they said it is hard and uncomfortable. I bought a memory foam gel pad to go on top and it’s still not the best for comfort. So add that expense to the cost of the mattress and I should have just bought a different one. It is not comfortable at all and I wish I had not bought it. ****Update: After seeing my two star feedback, Avenco contacted me to suggest I use an Avenco mattress topper to make the firm mattress more comfortable. They sent me one to try out and that helped a lot. I was surprised at the difference it made, and their brand of topper was far superior to the one I had purchased, it was sturdy, soft, and had elastic straps to keep it in place on top of the mattress and below the fitted sheet (so it stays put). I did state initially in my first review that the quality of the mattress is very good for the price point, and now I can not say enough about the fast response and polite customer service, which I did not expect (they contacted me to make things right). They did not have to do that- in these busy times they could have viewed my review as one unsatisfactory vs many happy customers and ignored it. I’m impressed! Let me start by saying that I am not a paid partner in any way, shape or form... We have had this mattress now for a little over a month, and it has taken that long for me to gather my true thoughts on how much I truly love it. The first few weeks, I woke up extremely sore. I was to the point where I was questioning why anyone had written a good review about this. By week 4, I slept so well that I didn't move all night and have slept that well ever since. I would recommend this to anyone with back and hip issues. It has truly helped me to not wake up stiff and miserable.

Like most, I spiraled down a rabbit hole of mattress reviews. I like a firm mattress and have never tried memory foam. This mattress is both squishy and firm and a delight to go to sleep on. The package arrived early in the morning, so I had it fluffing up for about 15 hours before having to sleep on it. Yep, I know what you're thinking... that's way too soon to sleep on it since it takes 72 hours to fluff to capacity. Well, I live in a small apartment and I have no where else to just lay a queen size mattress. The mattress didn't mind as I am writing this almost a week later. The mattress is fully fluffed and I am well rested. I will update if the mattress implodes or spontaneously combusts...

To be honest I did look at other so called 'Mattress in a box' & I kept coming back to this one, the discounted price was more than some others but the trial/return was better than others. The zipper take off cover was a big plus & after receiving it I see that the whole bottom also unzips for cleaning as well. Unpacking was easy, I rolled it out and left the room for 10-15 min. when I came back it was 90% inflated! I missed the show. Upon inspecting the mattress I was really impressed as it was better than I expected the quality is excellent. I decided to sleep on it the next night after waiting only 36 hrs. What a comfort! No odors either, I do less tossing & turning which equals a better nights sleep.
