Almost bought a more expensive box spring from Ashley’s or Bob’s, then ran across this one. Was more inexpensive and because of that I was a bit skeptical in purchasing. Read all the reviews here and liked what I saw so I purchased. Twin size. This item is exactly as described in pretty much most of the reviews. At first I thought I was doomed seeing all the pieces and thinking I wouldn’t be able to assemble this. But to my surprise, it was not difficult at all. Came with the tools you need so you do not need anything else. Followed the instructions it came with and was finished in about 25 mins. Covered it with the cover it came with and placed it on the bed frame. Perfect fit and looks great.

We moved into a new home and found out we couldn’t get our bed frame up the stairs. So we went on and ordered this one to assemble. Arrived quickly. Was able to assemble it 95% by myself. I’m not an expert at assembling but this was easy enough. The instructions were confusing to me (again not good at this stuff) but without instructions I was able to see how it went together. All said and done it was great height, great frame, comfortable, sturdy, the cheap cover that came with it was nice too. I’d highly recommend for the price and ease. **I’ve notice no different btwn this one and my old one that came in one piece from furniture store.

Overall good product with straight forward assembly. Comes with wrench needed. One problem I did have with part/assembly #5: one arm would not open/extend. The end of the arm was too long from the rivet axis to the main tube and would hit preventing it from fully opening. This was only one arm of the four but it was present on both #5 parts/assemblies (same arm). I used a hand file to remove the excess material, and touched up the metal with paint. FYI for manufacturer and purchasers. Other than that the product seemed well made and functioned as expected.

The product worked fine but the box was dropped being delivered and bent one of the pieces. It still worked but had to force the screw in the hole.

This is the first box spring fame that I've owned that required assembly, and I was quite sceptical about the purchase. I read some mixed reviews regarding the assembly as well, but traditional box springs just seem difficult to find these days, so I reluctantly made the purchase. Firstly, the assembly was an absolute breeze! I was back in my bed, atop my newly assembled box spring, in about 20 minutes. I will say that the instructions are little more than some pictures, so if you are not a "visual learner", or you completely lack any mechanical knowledge, then you may be better off with something else. For the people out there that have even the most basic mechanical/problem solving ability, you should find this to be an extremely easy assembly. That said, I also looked at some similar items that were tool-less assembly, and decided against it. My reasoning is that fasteners can be tightened as wear occurs, but things that snap together will just wear out. This gets to the next thing I really like, which is the noise level. NONE! It makes no noise at all, and with fasteners that I can tighten, hopefully it stays that way. Lastly is the comfort that I had no idea I was missing from my mattress. It's amazing the difference a solid base makes for my old mattress, I really think I could keep this old girl for another 5-10 years. Very happy so far, but we shall see how it holds up after a few break-in sessions.

I didn't have to pay a delivery charge from a furniture store or take a pick up truck to pick it up. It was Amazon quick and easy and the price was not terrible. just a little higher than I would have hoped Pros - it appears fairly sturdy, have not noticed any noises or creaking. It gets the job done, looks like a box spring to the casual observer Cons - assembly with the tools they provide is time consuming and inconvenient (if you use your own tools you can probably cut the time in half, but still inconvenient); it is not really a box "spring" it is more of a platform; the bottom does not have a dust cover as a traditional box spring has (not really an issue but a preference) I needed a box spring in a hurry and this works. Would probably purchase one again if I needed one in a hurry but would probably stick with a traditional box spring, everything else being equal
