Took me and my kids (2 teenagers) about 1 hour to put it up. I'm sure if it was adults it would go up faster. Didn't think that was to bad time wise for a first time. The cover is thick. Seems sturdy. Simple and easy to understand directions. Did not hold up to the first big snow storm we had.

    • strong frame, easy to assemble
I got this to house my boat. The package and top I received was labeled with the brand name "peaktop outdoor". I wasn't sure what to expect with this purchase and was happy to see the well labeled pieces and simple instructions. I chose the 8 leg reinforced version. The frame assembles easily with the clip in system and seems very sturdy. The roof tarp attached easily and sits tightly due to the simple bungie cord system. BTW, these little bungies will be easy to replace when needed. But the tarp, while not flimsy, could definitely be thicker. I'll see how it holds up. Of course any tarp will need replacement at some point. I'm not sure how easy it will be to find a replacement for this. The only assembly trick that is not quite explicit is putting the tarp on before you add the legs and then putting the top on its side to start on the legs. it took two people to do this part of the assembly. It was an additional challenge for me because I needed to locate this unit directly along side my garage so it was a tight fit. Fortunately the frame has enough flexibility that my son and I were able kind-of walk it into place. I chose to use thicker bolts to fix the legs into the foot pads to reduce any wiggle at that point. I also decided to set the legs on concrete landscape blocks and to fix them to the blocks with concrete screws. I like the extra height (about 4') but this was harder than I expected. I used up 3 carbide drill bits and only got one good screw in per leg. They seem well affixed but I added, perhaps unnecessarily, epoxy to glue in the other sides and around the base. In retrospect I should have used 4x4 wood posts laid along the garage which would have been plenty secure and not interfered with walking. ... show more

I bought this product for the way it was designed looked to be very sturdy. upon installing it I was right. built very sturdy and easy to put up. Had a little problem with a tropical system before we could anchored it to the driveway and had a couple of poles damaged. upon getting ahold of customer service so that I could order the poles they informed me that they would send out poles to replace them at no cost I was willing to pay for them but they took care of me at no cost.THATS REALLY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR A GREAT PRODUCT!!! keep up the good work ... show more

I have had this setup for 2 months at the most and already have large rip in the door. this is the backside of the tent and do not use the zipper/door on this side even. tarp has ripped basically from the zipper to the eye hole to secure the canvas to the frame. can tell this is poor quality and you can see daylight through the roof as well. the poles/frame are made of decent quality and the extra support bar running horizontal for the walls is a nice feature. end of day would not recommend this product especially for the price in comparison to current market ... show more

    • Good carport, easy Installation, works advertised
I've purchased it to use as carport, the installation took about 2 hours mostly by myself, but if I am to do it again, I'd probably get someone to help then I think I could reduce that time in half. The installation guide is well documented and includes a necessary parts, best of all, no tools needed, other than a pair of gloves (even came included, 2 pairs!) Tip: Tight the provided bungees really well, so the structure wouldn't squeak under strong windy conditions. I'm writing this review about 19 months after my purchase/installation, because the canopy cover ripped, which is way past warranty, (I'm just happy that this happened to it instead of hurting my car's paint under Florida's sun). I've contacted their customer service, Angie & Yummy were very helpful and responsive. The structure feels it could last very very long, since after the installation there is no signs of wear nor rust. ... show more

    • Not perfect but seems good enough for a budget canopy
I bought this because of the extra braces but in order to attach them securly you will need to retrofit by drilling holes and adding bolts and nuts on both ends of each of the 6 braces. if you do not do this the braces flop around or get jammed up in a crooked position that actually make the canopy crooked or unbalanced. The thing about corner braces is if they're not done precisely they can do more damage than good. Unfortunately, these ones are not precise. But if you don't mind retrofitting they can be made to be secure. The braces are a really good idea I just don't see why they didn't do precision predrilling. Aside from that, the material quality is ok I guess. However, upon arrival 4 poles were defective, and the tarp had a small hole in it. Unfortunately the hole is on a high tension piece so it will have to be replaced along with the poles. Customer service was quick to respond to email. I will update with how long it takes to resolve this... In the meantime, sitting here with a 90% assembled tarp that is pretty flimsy at the moment update: finally got all parts but it took a while. customer service is responsive but it still took 3 weeks to rectify. They did give me a small refund for the trouble though and I appreciated the customer service effort. I ended up putting each leg of this canopy inside of a brick chimney liner and used creek bed landscaping pebbles as ballast. It looks pretty nice. I'll update this review again after we get our first real fall/winter windstorm. ... show more

Quality made door panels and body cover. I do tend to overbuild, so I added cross braces 1x4 plank boards in each section wall panel front to back and wall panel to roof line. It is extremely rigid now. Also placed 4x4 post pieces to each of eight floor points and anchored with 2 ft. long rebar as well as screw type anchors. ... show more
