This splitter is heavy and sharp. It works very well for us and was easy to set up and use. We suggest that you set it up so that you can store it out of the weather as it could easily start rusting and be ruined if left out. It is durable and simply enough to sharpen. This is well worth the money if you are looking for one.

Super durable looks okay is a little difficult to use But it was quick to set up. I don't think it'll be my go to but if I'm camping or something it's a good thing to take with small and portable.

With great difficulty I am able to sort of split small branches with some success. I have oak, privet, and a few assorted other woods for smaller branches that can be split on this. The product itself is well made and heavy, but so much effort to hammer things with the flat side of the heaviest hatchet to use this as splitter that it seems to me it needs sharpening to get going... but again, that could just be my particular wood that I have to split for kindling. SAFER than using a hatchet on the smaller branches, but not what I was hoping for as far as ease of splitting. It does at least expose some of the inner wood to the fire so it can catch a bit easier.

Tried a mix of hardwood, softwood, and wet wood. All of it split fairly easily with this. The smaller diameter wood is harder to hit with an axe accurately unless you split wood often. I am not an avid wood splitter. This works out great for those of us whom do not split wood on the daily, much easier and safer to split that smaller wood with. I tried with a larger piece out of curiosity how it would work. It worked great, much better than I expected since it is not designed for longer pieces of wood. I had to take an extra swing on the longer piece for it to split the rest of the way, but I just as easily could have pulled it apart myself. This splitter also comes with a rubber piece to put over the sharp edge, which you should use. It also comes with screws to mount it. I do not know if I will mount it yet, but it is at least an option should I choose to do so later. I have lots of small wood chunks to split up and I can now do so safely and easily thanks to this splitter.

I like this WujinJoy Kindle Cracker Log Firwood Splitter. I got this for free through Amazon Vine. I like the design of this splitter better than others I have tried. This is a simple splitter mate of plate steel welded with gussets to a really strong base. It is a no-nonsense design that actually works and is durable. I was able to split regular small logs and framing lumber easily into smaller pieces that I use to get the fire going. It is just the right size and shape for my backyard. I use my fireplace almost every day in the Winter to heat my house. I also cook outside most of the year and I cook on real wood fires not gas. I will give this splitter plenty of use in the next few months with heating the house and cooking on the grill. I think this splitter is a great value for $40 and is perfect for the task of splitting kindling.

Super handy and a good bit safer than swinging an axe or maul. You do need a solid place to mount it. I have it temporarily on an old beam chunk, but will soon build a base from 4x4 offcuts that I've been collecting.
