1 Month after install: This are a must buy if you are even thinking about automated roller blinds. I rarely leave reviews but these are worth talking about and sharing my experience with others. I would break it down into pro's and con's, however, there are no con's for me to talk about so far. I wanted automated blinds for a new set of french doors (outswing) that we installed. I needed them to be big enough and long enough to fit in the door casing and they had to be reverse roll so they wouldn't catch on the door handle. Kincmo was one of a very short list that offered all of the features I needed. The amount to colors they offer is far greater than other brands on the market. So first impression was very good because I could customize the blinds to meet all of my needs. Cost was very competitive as well, coming at or below the price of other brands. They are custom so there is about a two week lead time for them to deliver and I felt that was reasonable. They delivered well packaged with no damage at all. They were very easy to install with their clip in system and the valance really looked sharp. The material is thick and of great quality. I purchased the blackout options and they completely block the light when down. One recommendation is to purchase the side light blockers, but be warned, you will sleep in if you don't set your alarm because your room will be pitch black. Quality of craftmanship was great and install was easy. I've fought with removing and installing other brands, but these were simple and effective. They fit the door exactly how I expected as well and do not interfere with the working of the door or the door handle at all. Ok as a bonus because honestly I didn't pay much attention to it, I found the rollability of the shades and the noise they create when operating were exceptional. These roll very smoothly and are very quiet. I have another brand shade in the window in this room and when we roll them up or down, there is a HUGE difference in the amount of noise they make when operating. I've had them up for about a month and I charged them before I hung them. I use them every day and have not had to charge them again - so battery life is very good so far. One last thing and I probably should have put this near the top, their customer service is absolutely amazing. They reached out to me immediately after ordering to confirm my measurements and features, to make sure there were no mistakes. Then, about a week after I installed them, they reached out again to check and see how everything was going and to seek feedback on the performance and quality of the blinds. They are super responsive, friendly and courteous. Conclusion: if you are looking for motorized roller shades for a room, look no further. You will not be disappointed with these and the customer service is amazing!

I purchased these Kincmo motorized blinds for a room that gets a lot of sunlight, and overall they have worked very well. They are truly 100% blackout, blocking light completely and improving privacy and temperature control. Installation was easier than expected, although accurate measurements are very important since they are custom-made. The remote control works perfectly, and the setup with Apple HomeKit was smooth. I also use them with Alexa, and voice commands respond reliably. The app is user-friendly and allows you to schedule opening and closing times, which is very convenient. The motor is quiet and the movement is smooth. The material feels durable and well-made, and the white color looks clean and modern. I also want to highlight the customer service. I had a question during setup, and their support team responded quickly and was very helpful, which made the experience even better.

Absolutely phenomenal. These Kincmo motorized blinds exceeded every expectation and then some. First, the fabric options are outstanding. There is a surprising range of colors and textures, and they look far more expensive than they are. Do yourself a favor and order the fabric swatches from the product page. Seeing and feeling the materials in person makes the decision easy and eliminates any second guessing. The pricing is one of the best parts. These blinds deliver a true custom look and feel without the custom price tag. They feel solid and well engineered. Honestly, they compete with brands that charge several times more, and that realization alone makes the purchase feel like a win. Customer service is 10-star. They were responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Delivery was fast, everything arrived perfectly packaged, and the blinds were exactly as ordered. Installation was straightforward, pairing was simple, and daily use is effortless. The blinds operate smoothly, almost silent (like really), and the sizing was absolutely perfect, giving a clean, built in look. Quality blinds. Well made. With the light blockers (also well made, and magnetically attach so they can be removed and replaced easily), you can achieve near 100% blockage with these. Motors are super quiet, and I'm not sure how long the batteries will last without being connected, but it's a long time. Integration can be a little challenging, but no more so than any other smart device. I will say the options can be a little confusing, beyond just size, roll direction, and inside/outside mount. There are options for motor position, type of motor integration, and charging options. I went with standard motor+matter hub, which allowed integration with Alexa. The Matter hub only works on 2.4ghz wifi, so either make sure your router/access point can handle that. The hub needs to be on the same wifi network with your Alexa device. I have blinds spread around our home which is 90ft long and ordered 2 hubs as I wasn't convinced one would be able to cover both ends of the house. Glad I did, as I attempted to setup everything on a single hub, but couldn't find a spot where all the blinds were in range. The hub/motor connection is RF, so line of sight is not required, but walls/household items attenuate the signal so the effective range of a hub can be as low as 30-40 feet. . . about the same as what you'd get out of a bluetooth device. Once you've positioned your hub(s) and setup your blinds, you can run them from anywhere on the shademate app or via Alexa control. Rather than trying to remember exactly how Alexa wants me to ask her to do something, I created routines to raise/lower the blinds in each room using common phrases such as "alexa, raise the bedroom blinds" and included variations of the phrase such as "raise all the blinds in the bedroom". I threw in a few fun ones such as saying "movie night" lowers the blinds and dims the lights in the living room, and "privacy please" closes the bedroom blinds. Works for us, I am not an Alexa guru. I recommend getting a single channel remote for each blind you order and stick it on the wall near the window using either the included mounting bracket or something like Command velcro (so it can be removed when it's time to change the batteries). Having to rely on Alexa or an app to run them up and down can be problematic (try as she may, Alexa doesn't always understand us), it's convenient to be able to just walk up to the window and push a button when needed. Also the remote makes setting up the blinds and tweaking the limits pretty simple, although it can be done through the shademate app as well (which you probably won't use once you get them on Alexa). These were for my own home. The built in battery was incredibly useful, as they work right out of the box without a wired connection (until the battery dies, which mine never did. . . I cycled them a few dozen times before hooking up the charging cable permanently). As an integrator and someone obsessed with hiding wires, if these were spec'd out for new construction, best way I can see to accomplish getting power to these would be to drop low voltage wire in the window jamb on the side where the motor will connect and buy some USB C pigtails to solder on, and pull the low voltage back to a central location with a 5v power supply. As mine was an existing build, I spec'd the motors to be on the side closest to a receptacle for each window, and tucked the USB cable behind the trim down to the bottom of the window, and replaced the plain duplex receptacles with USB charging receptacles. Not super clean, but it keeps a fairly low profile along the wall. . . less so than if using a USB brick charger. Interaction with the manufacturer has been overwhelmingly positive. From the time the order was submitted, they reached out by whatsapp to confirm dimensions, fabric choice, and other details, and were always responsive to questions (had some difficulty getting the hub configured due to the wifi issue). I had a minor issue with one blind (fabric came loose on one end of the drum and it rolled up slightly crooked), which I initially asked for guidance to repair. . they offered to send a replacement along with a lot of other goodies (solar panel chargers for the other 7 blinds I ordered), but I was able to repair it myself so I declined their offer. Still, I consider it a testament to the integrity of Kincmo and their desire to ensure their customers are 100% satisfied. Rare these days. In total we purchased 9 custom blinds and are 100% satisfied.

These blinds are great! There are lots of customization options. The colors/designs may not seem very "boutique", and I was worried that it would look cheap but it looks great! Before deciding on these, I got quotes and swatches from 3 Day Blinds and The Shade Store. I would say that these blinds look nicer than all the swatches I saw from 3 Day Blinds. The Shade Store has some designs that are more "boutique" and so if you really want something with a unique design then go for that, but I have no regrets choosing these blinds over those as they look fantastic. Big reason I chose these blinds was also for the Matter over Thread compatibility. It was easy to choose and know that I was getting exactly the right ones for my smart home setup. After placing the order, customer service will reach out to ask and confirm what smart home devices you have to ensure your order is correct. Set up with Apple Home was smooth and easy. I got someone from TaskRabbit to install the blinds, so I don't have first hand experience but installation looked simple. The trickiest steps are to drill the brackets straight, and then doing the final mounting of the blind onto the brackets. These blinds also come with the option of light blocking side panels for a full blackout, which is a pretty cool option that I didn't see with the other brands. I've ordered 5 blinds in total from Kincmo so far and I'm planning to order more soon.
