Perfect bed! It’s a little firmer than I thought, but we love it. You don’t fully sink into it, which is nice! We let the mattress fully expand for about 48 hours before we slept on it and it expanded quite a bit. FABULOUS mattress! I was always leery about a “bed in a box”…..but I had the opportunity to sleep on a Tuft & Needle mattress for 4 nights recently and got the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. Went home and immediately purchased the exact model! The Medium Firm is extremely comfortable.

Sleeps very cool. Back aches are gone after a week

The mattress expands very quickly. It is on the firm side but very comfortable. My old mattress was hot. I had constant issues with my legs getting sweaty. I couldn’t use blankets. This mattress is FANTASTIC for regulating temperature. It breaths very well and I sleep with blankets on and with NO sweating. It also eliminated my lower back pain. I've had chronic back pain the last two rears. The new mattress seemed to make it ache worse the first two nights, but as I adjusted or it did, the pain all resolved on its own. Does not age well unless you routinely replace your mattresses every 18 months.

New, this mattress was consistently on the soft side but tolerable. After 12 months I found it was not only adapting to my shape, but holding the position when I tried to roll over. Still tolerable, but annoying and starting to feel lumpy. It won't get worse, I thought. The sides are firm but it leaves you trapped in the rectangular bowl when you want to get up. This bed is FIRM

I am pleased with the bed but it is very firm. It was not quite what i had in mind, for medium firm but it does the job. out of the box it does not need to expand for 24 hours and I think it would be very nice bed with a memory foam topper.

Solid choice that didn't break the bank

I bought the Tuft & Needle Kin 10” memory foam mattress after a cross-state move when I needed something affordable and comfortable. My partner prefers a firmer memory foam mattress, while I’m used to a softer, plush pillow-top, so finding something that worked for both of us was important. At first, I was worried it might be too firm for me, but after about two months it softened and now feels just right for both of us. It provides enough support for him while still feeling comfortable for me. We found Tuft & Needle after staying in a friend’s guest room that had their original hybrid mattress. The Kin isn’t quite the same feel, but it’s a good alternative at a lower price point. I also appreciate that the materials used are clean and natural. After 2 Years, it's no longer 'Comfortable and not too firm!'

2 Year Update: I've already had to rotate the bed twice because the foam isn't holding up for two adults 5'5 (220lbs) and 5'7 (175lbs) over time. Our hips are hurting because the foam has worn down over time and is no longer supporting the heaviest parts of our body (torso). I'm pretty disappointed and will probably go back to a natural latex mattress there next time we buy a bed. While I appreciate the lack of chemicals and the initial couple of years, the cost doesn't mitigate the pain we're in now. :( I saw a lot of reviews saying this bed is too firm, so I was skeptical about buying it, yet this is one of the only beds that promised no smelly chemicals and fiberglass and such, so I risked it, and I’m glad I did! I love a squishy, soft bed and this one isn’t melt into the abyss, but it’s very comfortable. The price in exchange for not inhaling tons of chemicals is so worth it. ... show more
