First off, we now own three of these wetsuits in three different sizes. I measured my kids, checked the size chart and then bought a size up (because I expect my kids to grow). The wetsuits all fit as expected - they are not so tight on the two kids who got a size up, and the one is tight but useable on the kid who got his current size. They're nice looking, too. My biggest complaint is that they're not so good for actual cold water. My daughter wears this comfortably in the 82-degree pool, which she'd otherwise find cold. But the kids weren't so comfortable when we wore these snorkeling in 73-degree water (the air was even colder). They were cold. In fact, they were cold even with a shorty wetsuit underneath these wetsuit. Even the kid with the tight-fitting wetsuit was cold. These wetsuits are basic, meaning there's nothing to keep cold water from flushing down through the neck into the wetsuit. We'll probably go on using them at the pool in water that's borderline cold for kids, but I wouldn't rely on these for use in water that's legitimately cold for adults as well.

Lets start with these were ordered these for a spring break trip to the east coast. We don't live by the ocean and they will only be used likely four times a year. Therefore we couldn't justify a high end wetsuit. These appears to be a happy medium for them. The kids loved them. The water/weather was too cold for me to even get into the ocean but they played for hours with these on. They kept them warm and were as easy as you can expect to put on and off. On fit my kids are tall so we had to order a size up. But for them this is pretty standard. Therefore I would rate them as true to size. I can't really give them a durability rating as they have only been used ~ 3 days in the ocean. Based on that and the feel of them they are likely a 4 out of 5 for durability. If you are looking for a reasonable priced kits wetsuit for limited use this is likely a great choice. I'm sure that some of the more expensive ones are better but for the limited use my kids will use them for these are perfect.

I purchased one of these for my 4-year-old and the first time he tired it on, I almost died from adorability overload--and I'm a dude. He's medium to light build and it looked awesome and fit him well. He has used it for swimming multiple times now and it is flexible, provides a hint of flotation, and keeps him warm. I would definitely buy it again if the price does not go up.

We used the for La Jolla in the warmest time of year Sept when ocean temps are high 60’s. They kept the kids warm, but once washed (because they smelled awful) son was unable to get them on even though they hung dry. The fit was tight, but impossible after that. Order up my daughter (size 6 was able to wear her big brothers( size 8) and my niece (size 5t) was able to wear my daughters (size 6). They did keep them warm, but my son and daughter put stretch marks in the material trying to get them on after a washing. The colors and style are beautiful.

My 9yr old daughter is petite & quite short for her age but still had to get 2 sizes bigger. I had to return twice. Ended up getting a size 12. Waiting on it for another fitting. Very, snug on the neck. I think I would need to cut off some on the tip for neck room.
