We own this for over 2 year. We love it because they fit my 3 year old and my 6 year old. They are now 5 and 8. They still use it. It is made from 100% real wood. Sturdy and no sharp edges. Ours came with a dent. =( That's life! Probably the shippers! That's why I took 1 star out in the review. Finishing of the would is not excellent but very good for a kids table. (i like french polish furniture but that will cost $500+) Nevertheless it would take a good beating to destroy this(little kids not by you). Color is deep dark stain with clear coat. Took about 30 min to assemble with 2 people. I can sit in the chair and use it because it actually fits me. My boys will have this set for 4 more years at least. It's safe to say that this is a worthy investment, as it will fit a child from 2ish through 12 year old. It have good heights on the table legs but not too high. Take care of it and it will last you at least 3 years, for me it will last probably 4-6 years. I made sure my table and chair will never be accidentally loose, here is how. If you are worried about screws coming out: Use blue loctite(green loctite is too weak and red is too strong). Optional: Thread sealer and then loctite. (that puppy will never come loose) I work as an quality inspector in manufacturing of fitness equipments, We always use loctite. Sometime if the screw and nut is too loose, we add thread sealer(dry first), then loctite. ... show more

    • Perfect for kids
Perfect size for my large 6-year-old, while still easy for my 2-year-old to use. I can sit reasonably comfortably in the chairs as well. Easy to assemble and looks very nice. Easy to clean surface.

    • Leary of itโ€™s durability but one day inโ€ฆ
I immediately had to use a stain pen on the top edge of the table. The wood seems very soft and just hand tightening screws and such, you can hear the crackling. It seems on par with things these days (cheap material) but it was easy to assemble. I feel like this should be no more than $99, however. We love this table and chair set. The color is beautiful and it looks great with the rest of our furniture. My husband had to work so I ended up putting the table and chairs together. It took me a little longer than expected because I got the chair pieces backwards, but no big deal. If you take your time, and follow the directions, you should get it all done in 30-60mins if uninterrupted haha The chairs are sturdy enough that if an adult wants to sit, they can. I love that this table is rectangular rather than square, allowing more table room for art supplies and art My only criticism is that the picture shows the chairs have angled legs. Ours were not angled at all. They are perpendicular to the floor. I do wish they were angled to better support our LO from accidental falls as our chairs are on carpet. With watchful eyes and soft floor though it ends up not being a big deal. ... show more

Do to my girls are growing up quite fast, I should change their basic chair and table. Plus I'm afraid that this Omicron virus might cause us to stuck us again at some point in the future so that I have to set up a better chair and table Incase they switched to remote class.     • Tabletop scratched easily; very sturdy
We have had Kidkraft items before, and they have always been very sturdy. We liked that we didn't have to worry so much about them being a safety hazard or that our kids would need to be watched every second to make sure they didn't break it somehow. When we received the item, we were again satisfied with the sturdiness of the table and chairs. But the table top has done nothing but scratch. It had a few very minor scratches in it when we got it, but we didn't think much of it and, besides that, we didn't put it together until Christmas Eve and nothing we were going to do about it at that point. It continued to scratch with every use though. Our kids used safety scissors, crayons and paper one day and several scratches appeared. Then they got a piece of scotch tape stuck on it and when I went to pull it off, a bunch of the dark brown coloring came off with it! So in less than a month, it looks like a table top that has been used for years, with all the scratches and dings in it already. I contacted Kidkraft and they sent another table top, siting that it may have been a faulty top and saying that this hasn't been a commonly recurring complaint. So we'll see if this helps. I would recommend maybe getting the "natural" finish so that this wouldn't occur as easily. Don't know if this would solve all the issues though, but a thought anyways. ... show more
