My 5 and 6 year old grand daughters loved the beads. They do need help though to thread the needle which can be a bit difficult with the yarn threads. Needle is regular needle and sharp so this age requires an adult supervising in my opinion but it is a nice activity to share parent or grandparent and child. 8 years and up probably could manage on their own. ... show more

It was very nicely organized. There were no instructions. There were felt strips included that were strange. I could not understand their function or purpose. The thread was very breakable and so I substituted other of my own. The beads are lovely and encourage pattern making and design.
