    • Perfect speaker for stock tundra replacement
Product grade: New
Wanted a low rms speaker to replace stock tundra dash speakers. They fit under the stock grille if you use only one screw. No rattles or anything from doing such. They are a little deep on the magnet to fit just right. And the speaker basket is a little off for perfect fit and two screws. But it works fine. Clip the stocks right at the speaker. Wired and taped and used standard toyota plug. About a twenty minute install. They sound much better than stock. You can actually hear upper range symbols. Great product for the money. I’m giving it a four star only because I’ve owned the best before. Best bang for the buck staying on stock radio. Posted it in the tundra page and others had the same results. All happy with the $39 purchase and all surprised how much better it sounded. ... show more

Always disliked imbalanced audio systems in cars so soon after I installed a 10" in my '18 Rav4, I decided to replace some of the stock speakers to try to keep up with the new volume. I've had kicker subs going way back and always appreciated the quality so I decided to give their speakers a try. These 3.5"s are perfect for my application. They fit in the stock spots on the dash in my 2018 Rav4. I did find out you need a wiring harness set of connects or you can cut the 4 wires, link both similar color wires together and run them to each terminal with spade connectors. They are LOUD. Very much capable of hitting the high frequencies that ensure the voices, high hats, chimes and other high frequency parts of songs not get lost in the bass. I would agree with the reviews that they can be ear piercing so if you like to listen to music loud, make sure you only purchase these if you have a equalizer auxiliary or built into your head unit so you can adjust the frequencies to avoid this issue. That being said, i couldn't recommend them enough. Superb clarity. I listen to them pretty loud on my daily commute and in the few months I've had them, I've had zero issues with clipping. ... show more

    • Very efficient, tweeter is very loud

I got these based on the cost and some of the better reviews. I needed to replace the terrible 2.5” full range speakers in my Subaru Legacy with Harman Kardon system. These fit with some massaging of the dash holes. However, (as you would expect) the factory amp was tuned for the awful speakers and made these sound terrible. Not their fault, so the amp was replaced so that I could tune the sound. Now for the proper review. These are very efficient - much louder than the 2 ohm drivers they replaced. They are also very loud in the mid to high range. The tweeter is very loud and not well balanced with the woofer. Piercingly loud. I tried to EQ them down, but the EQ setting was like falling off a cliff above 3kHz. So, I padded the tweeter down by cutting the tweeter wire and inserting a 2.7 ohm resistor in series. This made them far more livable. Still a bit loud in the 3-5kHz range, but able to be EQ’d now. If I had to do it again, I’d dig deeper than the reviews and pick something more focused on sound quality. Something with a soft dome tweeter and a better crossover network. ... show more
