  • Perfect mauve
Color: Oh Dear!
This color is the perfect shade for the fall. Very pigmented.

  • Great quality, tough to get color from just Amazon listing
Color: Mauve a Lil Closer
The quality is great, and Kiara Sky has a good variety of colors. That said, it is hard to tell what the color of each dip powder is just from the Amazon listing. I found that it was helpful to look up the same color on the Kiara Sky website -- they were more accurate than Amazon. And the Amazon photo reviews were also really helpful, which is why I am adding mine. I loved Oh Dear! and Mauve a Lil Closer. I think Oh Dear! was pinker than it looks in my photo. It is sort of a rose-colored pink, not bright. It is great for fall when you are not ready yet for the deep reds/purples. (Great for any season, really.) ... show more

  • Wonderful when you know how to use it!
Color: Victorian Iris
Most recent updates written at the bottom. Detailed review ahead! I have been doing my own powder dip nails for about 7 months and I have been using Kiara Sky products for most of that time. They are fabulous products once you know how to use them well. The most important tips I have learned are below. 1) LOOK UP THE COLOR ONLINE FIRST! This is by far the most important thing I have learned. Many of the colors look very different in real life than the tiny color swatch shown on Amazon or even the Kiara Sky website. I found this out the hard way with a very bright pink color I probably would not buy again! If you look at Kiara Sky's Instagram account or Google Images you can usually tell how the colors actually look when they are on. I have provided pictures of the colors that I own in direct and indirect sunlight for reference. I also highly recommend buying plastic nail sticks to test the color on before you use them on your own nails. They are very cheap and are good for reference when people ask what colors you have. 2) Watch YouTube tutorials for tips and take it slow. There are many details that take time to perfect if you are a beginner like I was. Specifically, being careful to not get powder on the skin around the nail or too close to the cuticle is something that you wouldn't necessarily think about at first but makes a huge difference in the overall visual appeal and longevity of the nail. Watching as many videos as you can to get tips about little things like that really helps. 3) Build your supplies over time! Buying your own nail supplies is an expensive investment however worth it in the long run in my opinion. There are products you don't need in order to get started that you may want to invest in over time in order to make your manicure look more professional. The three products that I invested in that I believe make the largest difference would be a nail drill, a get top coat, and an LED light. A drill helps both with putting your nails on as well as taking them off. I bought a $20 drill on amazon that came with plenty of attachments as well as a manicure set. This is helpful to drill down your nails before you put your top coat on so they do not become too thick and it helps to get the top coat off when it is time to soak them off. A gel top coat and LED light make a huge difference in the overall appearance and is one of the things I most highly recommend investing in when you have the money. They ensure your manicure has a beautiful shine which lasts for weeks. I bought the Sparkle and Co. top coat and the SUNUV nail lamp and love them both. In short, Kiara Sky products are very well made and I would highly recommend them! They take some time to perfect but overall they are wonderful. UPDATE 3/25/2020: It has now been over a year and a half that I have been using Kiara Sky products to do my own nails at home. I can truly say that you only get better at doing your nails with this product over time. The more you practice, the better your nails look. My nails now look consistently professional and I get compliments all the time. I have also started doing my family’s and friends nails when I have time to save them money. My mother used to go to the salon every three weeks and has not gone in over a year since I do them for her now. The startup cost can be high- however given the time that I have used this kit, I have no doubt saved hundreds of dollars for both myself and my family by doing them at home rather than going to a salon every two/three weeks. These nails also stay on 3+ weeks which makes them low maintenance. I have added new pictures of colors I have purchased since my initial review. On these new colors you can see a number written in sharpie on the bottom of the container. I use these numbers to match the container with the plastic sample stick. I highly recommend doing some kind of system like this if you do end up buying colors which are similar to one another so that you can tell them apart. Overall- I still love them! Don’t give up if you are still learning, you will get better! ... show more

  • Victorian Iris Kiara Sky dipping powder
Color: Victorian Iris
As stated, this is in the burgundy family, not the violet. I would probably call it an Oxblood Red. Personally I think it's a rich, gorgeous shade. I had no issue with application and I wonder if the negative reviewer used the full set of chemicals that make this work. Without the base to create the chemical reaction, this will never 'stick'. My only issue is the amount of powder that sticks to your skin while working with it. Keep wipes handy to keep traces under control. This is only my 3rd application of KS products, and I don't use tips. This is just a layer of strength/durability for my nails and hopefully, non chipping color until time to remove and redo. 1 wk later: Color still strong with no chips! I am driven crazy when my polish, especially a dark color, starts to recede from the leading edge. This product seems to have eliminated that problem entirely! ... show more

  • Great quality, dip powder takes time and patience.
Color: Shimmer Spellbound
Color - spellbound. The color was a little different from what I had thought it was going to be, and it wasn’t exactly what I was going for. But it’s still pretty cute! It’s more sparkly, where I was going for a more solid color. BUT the quality seems really good so far compared to the brand I used to use. I’m hoping they’re more durable too. It buffers nicely. **I’m no pro, and I can’t wait to get my own Dremel tool to see how this product does with better filing. DIY dip powder definitely takes practice and patience. But financially it’s a money saver! A lot of the more negative reviews seem to be because the person is still learning how to use dip powder in general. So definitely take that into consideration when you purchase it.** ... show more

  • Very pretty
Color: Midwest
The best thing about this product aside from the color? Is the jar was taped shut and it was in a bag ! Yay no spillage during shipping! It's a super deep plum color. Gorgeous!
