Sturdy and beautiful and easy to install. You do not need a box spring. If you do use one, the headboard can be installed a little higher so the headboard is not hidden by the height of the box spring and mattress. This frame is very sturdy and exactly as pictured. It wasn't exactly easy to assemble due to it's size and weight, though to be honest I think it was intended to be assembled with 2 people. If I had an extra set of hands it would've been significantly easier but I put it together alone (which is definitely possible, but you gotta be creative). Also the extra storage drawers underneath are a nice little added bonus. Definitely a great purchase for the price ... show more

Great set up, sturdy frame, doesn’t seem like cheap quality. Looks really nice. Only problem is that because I have time in my bedroom and no carpet, the drawers don’t stay put because they aren’t connected to the bed. There is no true drawer system (which I’m assuming is the reason for the great price). When I sit in my side of the bed the drawers move or pop out.
