These woods not only looks incredible, they are also great tonewoods. ► The Fingerboard is made out of Walnut. The Walnut is a popular wood used in many musical instruments. ► The neck in this guitar is made of Mahogany. ► TUSQ Nut - The Nut in this Guitar is TUSQ's. In most beginner guitars , the nut is made out of plastic. The nut directly influences the tone and sound of the guitar as it is in direct contact with the strings! ► D'Addario Strings - We installed D'Addario EXP16 Coated Phosphor Bronze strings - Just tune up to pitch and you're ready to play! D'Addario Strings are very popular and any guitar player would recommend it. ► TUSQ Compensated Saddle - The Saddle in this Guitar is TUSQ's. The term "truss rod" is used to define the steel bar that runs along a guitar's neck. The adjustment screw is located inside the sound hole, as shown in the image to the left. Using the Hex Key you get with this purchase, you'll be able to adjust the strings action (The distance between the strings and fingerboard). Turning the screw clockwise will bring the strings closer to the fingerboard while turning it counter-clockwise will take the strings further away from the fingerboard.

The second Hola! guitar I received is meeting all my hopes and expectations...I’m very happy with it! The first guitar I received—the one I returned (free Prime return)—did have a technical issue: there was severe buzzing with every note fretted at the 2nd fret. I believe this was due to a 3rd fret that was set too high. The buzzing was way more than could be attributed to “new string buzz,” nor do I think it has to do with how the action was set, though I’m not positive on that one. The owner of Hola! emailed me, expressed his concern, and assured me he'd forwarded my feedback to his quality control team. For years I have mostly been playing nylon string guitars. I have had a hard time being satisfied with the metal string acoustic guitars in my life: in recent months I have sold both my first guitar, a $600 Washburn I purchased 25 years ago, as well as a $2300 Gibson I purchased 15 years ago. I have learned over time that for me, money can’t buy me happiness with guitars. I’m happier playing and creating on a less expensive instrument that sounds good and plays well. I knew I wanted a smaller body metal string acoustic and had been looking at Yamahas and Cordobas prior to finding this one. Between the customer reviews and the really sweet-looking design and color options, I put my hopes into the Hola! purple guitar. And my hopes have become a reality. It’s exactly what I’ve been wanting. I’m not disappointed about the one I returned, because any disappointment I would have had is far outweighed by how pleased I am with my new purple guitar. It sounds and plays so well, and I love how it looks. I’m glad Hola! owner Adam came up with this company that makes such great guitars at such an affordable price, and with all those great finish/color options.     • This little beast is a BOSS!

I got the sunburst yesterday, and it's absolutely awesome! The sound is really nice and loud, especially for a 3/4 guitar size, and can out-volume my brother's full-size guitar. A very bright sound, not dull. It stays in tune really well, after the first few tunings the first day, which is to be expected as new strings need some time to adjust. The neck is a little fatter than my brother's full-size, but not uncomfortable. The action is very comfortable and I haven't had to adjust it. Overall, I think it's a beautiful instrument and well worth the price. The strap is very comfortable, and I like how it hooks to a bolt at the base of the neck instead of having to tie it. The picks are nice and thick, not like some cheap bendy ones I've seen. The gig bag is really nice -- it's padded both on the straps and the inside of the bag, and comfortable to wear like a backpack. I chose not to use the pick guard because it messes up the design of the black on the sunburst, and it felt flimsy. Overall, highly recommended! ... show more

I am so very pleased with this adorable guitar. Yes, it is a bit smaller than a regular sized guitar, but that actually makes playing it a bit easier! It was such a great value too since it came with a strap, soft case and a pick ( plz note the strap it came with was black, the purple strap in photo is mine). The strings are sturdy and easy to tune and stay in tune, I do have to say that the sound quality isn't quite as good as my other guitars (sounds a bit like a ukele) but again... great value for the price. The purple color is shiny and beautiful and there are nice tortoise shell accents. It is juat a great little guitar! ... show more

This guitar is nice looking. Because my son had a hard time reaching around the full sized guitar, this size is perfect for him. I did purchase a smaller guitar from a different company around Christmas time and it fell apart almost immediately. This guitar is made much more sturdier than that one. It sounds slightly "tinny" maybe its because of the type of strings needed on this size of instrument. So, it doesn't have the full sound that a regular sized guitar has. Arrival right on time, and after a fifth fret manual tuning, very pleased with the overall sound and resonance... The color and details are more than appreciated and I am now positive that the recipient of this instrument shall love it as much as I do! Bottom line, this guitar is MORE than a fantastic transitional guitar for young artists, it is a fantastic guitar within itself, for ANY user, be they beginner, transitional, or advanced! They advertise this model as being for beginners, for kids but...I am not a kid. I appreciate the 36" acoustic guitar. Since buying one of these a few months ago...I find the 36" to be perfect for me. The action arrives a bit high, but not unplayable... You'll want to take it to a luthier (guitar repair) to have the action lowered. (they sand down the height of the bridge) for ultimate enjoyment and playability. Best testimony I can give you is that I now have one in each of the 4 colors, Best value, excellent quality. The HOLA! on the headstock is a good vibe. Happiness and Peace. ... show more

My 6 year old loves this guitar. It is sized right for him to be able to play it for many years to come. The guitar sounds as good as it looks. The case/bag is just right, the strap and mounting pegs are a lifesaver. After tuning the guitar for him, he was playing in a matter of minutes.
