Tested it with a blanket through two rain storms and it kept it dry. But don’t be an idiot like me, I bought it to store my 24 x 24“ seat cushions, but forgot to consider that the interior size is much smaller than the exterior dimensions. This one measures at 21 and three-quarter inches high on the inside so my 24 x 24 cushions do not fit. The cushions pictured are the smaller back cushions. I love this deck box! It's very easy to put together. I built it from the bottom up, which was wrong according to some of the reviews, but luckily, it worked out, lol. I have bought 4 of them so far. I use 1 as a laundry sorter in the basement, 1 to hold my canning jars, 1 to hold my craft/tools/sewing supplies including my sewing machine and fabric, and 1 to hold my gardening stuff. I plan to get one for my compost and a couple more for raised gardens, and another one to hold my soil. Finally, I plan to see if I can make a really nice container pond with some minnows (lined with pond liner of course). I will only the pond fill halfway with water, add some plants, etc... and see how it goes! ... show more

I had previously purchased a bench version of this item. Great for storing kids toys, balls, bats etc. Not super solid although an adult male COULD sit on it. It stores a good amount of kid things and frees up room in my barn. May purchase again depending on how dry it keeps the contents.

This was a snap to put together. Literally. No tools are required. Pieces lock together. It rained shortly after placing outside and it was completely dry inside. It has a place for a lock but we used a small carabiner clip. The brown matches the color of the patio furniture. Great for storing our outdoor cushions easily with room still available. Very easy to put together. Only concern is that the lid easily blows up if winds are blowing. Need to put a clip on the lid when shut or rain water will get inside. (very light weight)
